I don't care if its a sin or not. If someone I loved was killed I would wish upon their murderer a death a thousand times worse than the one they committed. And since I don't feel like sitting on death row for a decade like the rest of these parasites, I'd have to allow our broken laws a chance to work their course. Having taxpayers maintain a facility to pay for the room and board of the killers of this country is a sin. And to solve the national debt the Dept of Justice could raffle off the opportunity to pull the switch.

One must read the whole Bible to gain an answer. It teaches that capital punishment has a place in governments, but it is a sin to take the law into ones own hands. It also teaches that a person is not to be put to death on the word of one witness. So maybe there are things that should be done to address the serious issue of the innocent being executed.

It depends. In the OT, where the Big 10 are, it sez "Thou Shalt not Kill" (King James Version). Now this is where the sticky part comes in...
If you accept it as "Thou Shalt not Kill", then the taking of *any* human life is wrong. Period.
If it is interpreted as meaning "Thou Shalt not commit murder", then what a Soldier, Police officer, or even an executioner does is *not* wrong.
All depends on whether you take it as saying Kill or Murder...

It is a land law. Life for life. No. It isn't a sin.
I could never do it though. I believe everyone should have the oportunity to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior and have their demons cast out and be born of God, Gods Way.
If a murderer doesn't get saved (born of God), they will go to hell fire when they die.

It is a sin not to, as is everything that God tells us to do, and we don't. In fact God tells us that one of the reasons that His judgment is coming on the earth is because people refuse to put murderers to death as He has commanded us.
