My mother is about the only person I know who is 4th generation american and has all of her origins in the Netherlands. I am 7/8ths Dutch.

I've heard it said "If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much!!" Ha! Ha! That is a joke by the way.

Blessings

American, since the Revolution, all but 2 who came later, one in 1812 (he was captured on a Brit flagship) and one who got here 10 Dec 1847. After that they were American too.

Before the Revolution they were colonists who came over time from Scotland and northern Ireland Scots, Nederlands, England, German states - but those aren't nationalities any more once they became citizens here in the colonies.

A lively blend of Scottish, Welsh, French, English, Swedish, Cree, Creek, Cherokee, Nigerian, Sierra Leonian, Mexican, and possibly Seminole. Not unlikely there's more... but that's what I can recall.

based on your nickname, i might say you're Italian. So start up by making use of travelling Italy and asking the persons there in the event that they understand your loved ones. you are able to take a cruise interior the Mediterranean Sea and eat meatballs and spaghetti and drink pink wine and schmooze with the locals. i'm particular there's a wealth of counsel in Italy approximately your loved ones.

My mother was Hungarian and I was adopted into a German-Irish family. Even though I'm not actually German-Irish genetically, I still feel a closeness with my adopted parents' ancestry and a closeness with my Hungarian ancestry.
