Exodus 13:20-22
20 After leaving Succoth they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert. 21 By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

I have the true answer to this so called miracle..but do you know? Forget the hocus pocus stuff. There is a simple explanation which I seem to be the only one on the planet who knows. Should I make a Movie to explain it? And also to explain the other so called miracles and enigmas of the Bible? I think it will open things hidden from the foundation of the world! Revelations for the human mind, still stuck in cave mode for the most part, to understand.

A volcano. This is a myth leftover from their volcano worshiping day. (El-Shaddai, translated in the OT as God Almighty actually means "God of the Mountains".)

Now there are no volcanoes in the region that the Jews supposedly spent the 40 years after their Egyptian captivity, but there are plenty of volcanoes in the middle east. And where there are volcanoes, you can bet that primitive people worshiped them.

Of course there is no evidence whatsoever that the Jews were ever in Egypt or spent 40 years wandering the desert. So while many stories in the Bible have scientific explanations, many more are just delusional ramblings with no basis in fact at all.

God caused the pillar of light by night, and the pillar of cloud by day the guided the people out of Egypt - with out this help they would still be wondering lost in the wilderness!@~

Go for it!
The cloud by day and the fire by night was the Shekinah Glory of God. He was with them from the time they left Egypt until they were in the promised land. At times He wanted to destroy them all but Moses, but He just let them walk around until all the dissenters died off.

Science says they were probably fire and smoke coming from the oil fields around the region, cause by a great natural disaster. whether you believe this or the spiritual hocus pocus you talk of it is strange it happened just when it should.

It was the presence of God. The same as the "glory" that filled the Holy of Holies.

The bible is not historical fact, but allegory. There is no historic evidence that Moses existed, much less led thousands of people out of Egypt.
