i just found my daughter with the charger end to my laptop in her mouth. when i took it away it was all wet. it was plugged into the outlet. it does have a big transformer but still can it electrocute? it's a tinny looking tube with a wire in it that hooks up to the laptop to charge it. thanks in advance,

wet + electricity = not good. There is usually 110 watts minimum of current comming from your plugs. Imagine that going to a wet surface like your mouth. Remember those warnings about not taking a bath and drying your hair at the same time...based on that as well.

I think u should probably wipe it off or let it dry before plugging it back in because anything having to do with laptops can electrocute

No, the voltage has been reduced by the little black box thing to something like 6 or 12 volts dc. It would be like sticking your tongue on the contacts of a 9 volt battery.
But you should try to keep these thingys where she can't get a hold of them

If this werent a more serious question, there could have been some real BAD comments on here. i think a mere shock is all u can get from it but why take the risk of it happening again. good luck.

Still you should not be to lax when it come to electrical appliances and children, Yes it probably could've electrocuted her, but if she is still living it might given her a bit of a tingly feeling on her tounge

no, b/c laptops use very little electricity- less than a light bulb, so the electrical current is no where near enough to electrocute.

No, it's to low of a voltage to hurt her, but you might want to watch her to make sure she doesn't put anything else in her mouth be it power cords or small objects.

If it's plugged in? Then yes, I would unplug it and not plug it back in until it dries out.
