Yeah it was definitley when I was 18. Once you are 18 you are an adult, and while you may not be as responsible as an adult who's 40 (do I hear jello shot?), once you are 18 you are an adult.

I stopped thinking of myself when I got married and got pregnant, I was barely 19. I was still 19 when my son was born so I was still technically a teenage but it felt so bizarre if anyone called me that. I had a nurse ask me if I wanted to participate in a teen mom support group and I was like "what? I'm not a teen mom." you just don't feel like a kid anymore when you're married and have a kid. Some people still act like teenagers because they haven't hit a stage in their lives where they need to be a responsible adult, I know 25 year olds who live with their parents, go out every night with their friends, and haven't a care in the world; those people are still teenagers.

I stopped considering myself a teenager when I hit 20 because I left the teens behind (from thirTEEN to nineTEEN is when you are considered being a teenager). There isn't any particular age I decided I was no longer a child, it's a slow process. I cared for my family (brothers and mother) from the age of 7 until I was 16 because my mother was a legalized junkie while my father worked hard to put food on the table. At sixteen I left due to the stress my mother put on me. I moved in with my sister where I cared for her young daughters while she was at work as well as working part time and attending school. Finally at 18 I ventured out on my own thinking I could act as normal kids my age acted only to have over done it and became pregnant. I've been a mom of my own children for nearly 11 years now but a mom for nearly 23. I was not grown at seven, but started on my way to adulthood then. Even now, I am still working on it, making many mistakes as children often do but always learning from them and swearing I will do better next time.
Point of this, for some people, they grow up sooner than others while some bask in the glory of youth for as long as they can.

I had my son when I was nineteen. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I was no longer a teenager. It was time for me to get a house and everything else I needed to be an adult and a good mother to my son. And that's what I did. I know what you mean, though. I live in a town with a Marine base, and some of those boys are 25 and still act like teenagers. It's sad, huh?

It depends on the person, surprisingly some people act very mature at the age of 14 even. This causes a lot of problems because teens will think you're weird for acting grown up. So it's nothing strange that you are adult like at 18. Some people take a bit longer to mature, that's all.

I stopped referring to myself as a teenager at 20. Simply because I no longer had "teen" at the end of my age. I, at 18 mostly thought myself more mature than the average teen and prefered to be called a "young woman" but I did not get all mad at the "teen ager" thing because, well I was one.

after 18 i consider you stop being a teenager. even though teen means being in the teens, so lets say 20!
some ppl are 30's and still act like teens. i guess they are ppl with young spirit. aint nothing wrong with that as long they dont take it too serious and arent mature enough.

Until I turn 20, I am only 19....so that means I am still a teenager, just in my late teens.
