Hi there. I have SLE/Fibromyalgia - CFS/Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have tried every drug there is, and finally got a goverment grant ($40K) to go on a drug called Enbrel (Etanercept) which I inject bi-weekly. For plaquenil - watch out for thrombocytopenia. My platelets crashed (not that they were any good before) and my body was covered with bruises for months. ibuprofen is a geat drug - I have been taking 800 on and off since I was 11. The only thing i find that it stirs up the arthritis and the fact that it is a NSAID doesnt help things swelling up everywhere (particularly hands and feet). I would suggest you try and get onto Enbrel as soon has possible. I havent been hospitalized since ive been on it.

When it comes to analgesics im on Tramadol Hydrochloride (Tramal) 400x2. For some people that is more than all they need. For me, it definitely takes takes the edge off!!

I will suggest one last thing. GET OFF THE EFFEXOR! If you are on 150 that means that you have gone up from the initial 75mg dose. Please please please get off it. You will have the worst time trying to wean yourself off it, and the restless leg is most definitely becuase of it. I had so many panic attacks I couldnt even begin to count them. I've also been on Zoloft (BAD- nomatter what they tell you).. and I am now back on Endep. I've been on it before and I'm still sleeping 16-22hours a day - but a lost of the neuralgia has gone.

For the diarrhea I have had the opposite problem. Check if you are a coeliac or not. If you have an intolerance to wheat/gluten I'm sure that once you are off it you'll have a great improvement.

I know how it feels to be "drowning in disease" and I'm only 20 years old! It has been 2 long years of trying to get a diagnosis/cure. Fibro sometimes seems as though they have given up and call it that because they want to quit. But it is legit... along with the rest! You have to give yourself time to heal. Take time off work if you can, or cut way back. Conserve your energy for when you need it most. I have to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

You can't punish yourself for not getting on with it though. It's like beating yourself up when you can't run with a broken leg. You have to be positive that you are doing everything to help yourself to the best of your ability and leave it at that.

Good luck!

Hi Terrim

That's a lot of stuff there! I will be direct and to the point here.

THis situation I hear all the time. Ignore or surpress one issue and it turns into another issue in the future. Here are the 5 vital things that cause illness and disease. Blockage causes all health issues and here they are.

1. stress = most of it self induced. Even thinking and actually talking about negative means you attact more negative energy. Visualize and "Feel" a healthy beautiful body (end result) and you'll have it before you know it.

2. Lack of water. I could write a book about that (actually will write one this year). Must have a gallon of distilled water (room temperture) with lemon every day to flush out the toxins and poisons in the body. This also helps with weight by creating more bile for the liver, which helps flush more waste.

3. Nutrition = this helps heal the body and will gives it energy to work on the internal issues. Mainly organic fruit and vegetables. If you only ate those for 7-10 days and drank water you would see a change in your energy and be on your way to better health. Letting the body rest from digesting meats, dairy, and processed foods will do wonders for you.

4. clogged colon = Not eliminating the processed food and chemicals we eat every day will give anyone an illness and/or disease. If doctors we're actually taught this, our society would be much improved. DO a colon cleanse First, then do a liver cleanse to improve your organs functions to help fix the issues.

5. Blockage of energy = Our body has a flow of certain energy and it can get blocked from negative thoughts, words, and actions. This is where a Pranic or Reiki healer can make a difference in releasing or freeing these energy blocks.

Go ahead now and take the action steps you know you need to do! Make decisions and take control of your health. Who else will? Leave it to drugs and you'll be another statistic. The body is a wonderful temple and it can heal itself if you give it some assistance.

Best of health to you

I've been battling Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 4 years now and when I got this system I was probably at the lowest point of my life. I had no energy at all and was in constant pain. I hated myself and hated the doctors who all shrugged it off and told me I just needed to take it easy or that I simply needed to have proper sleep!

This have completely changed my life. Barely 3 weeks on this system, and my brain fog and headaches are gone completely! I can now also manage to go for a 20 minute brisk walk without feeling exhausted.

Unfortunately there are to many of us. You need to join RA-Support on the Yahoo groups. Many people there with Lupus and CFS and Fibromyalgia, they do understand. Personally, I have 3 auto immune diseases.
