So one of my very good friends [who happens to be a guy] has been having some problems lately and he comes to me for help. So i help him, obviously. But this includes walking alone together a lot.
Well, the other day, my bf said,
"Do you notice that ______ hangs out with you more than his own gf?"
You see, sometimes my bf can be really deep, and sometimes he just isn't trying to say anything. So i go,
"Uh... Yeah i guess. Is there something wrong with that?" and he's like,
"Nah. I don't care." which worried me, cuz i think he does.
How do i show him that i care for HIM and not for my friend?
i tell my bf that he and i are only friends, and he says he believes me, but sometimes i dont think he does....

If he brought it up at all, it DOES bother him. Guys will always say no, if put on the spot like this. They don't want to seem jealous or insecure. BUT, they are. And for most guys, they need to know that they are the most important thing in your life to feel secure. Aside from just telling him this, you have to put the effort into the relationship for him to feel it. Also, guys love to know you talk them up to other people, especially your friends (It's an ego thing). One easy way to get rid of his insecurity, is to tell him that your "guy friend" knows how much you love him (your bf). If this other guy truly is just a friend, than you should be able to tell him how much you love your bf and how much the relationship means to you, without him being offended.

first what you should do is tell your boyfriend exactly why you were spending so much time with this guy. people love honesty. then what you should do is say exactly what you said, that you care for HIM. tell him exactly how much you care about him. then you should set up a date for just the two of you to "hang out." have him come over to your house or go to his house.
