Hard to answer but I'd say cigarettes.

In excess, both will have a negative impact on your health.

In very moderate amounts, one drink a day alcohol can positive effects on your health.

I don't think I've seen any suggestion that cigarettes in any amount have a positive effect on health. Plus - cigarettes, you have the problem of second hand smoke that may impact someone else's health, no such problem with drinking.

As for drinking and driving that's a different thing than just drinking.

To Cigarettes smokers, it's Alcohol.

To Alcohol drinkers, it's Cigarettes.

To a person who doesn't do both, the vote goes to Cigarettes.

To be fair, both are bad for you. (I've done both, so I know that quite well.) Both habits are quite expensive, and both of them are bad for the body. Alcohol affects people's judgment more than cigarettes, because cigarette smoking doesn't cause aggression or violent crime much, whereas there's almost an epidemic level of drunken violence. Plus the impairment of the body while under effect of alcohol leads to some very stupid decisions. (i.e. drunk-driving, fighting, loss of social judgment etc.)

However, bodily-wise, cigarette smoking is by far the worse thing to do. There are more carcinogens in cigarette smoking, as well as a lot of gunk that would shock or amaze people if they read up on it. (Much less gunk in rolling tobacco as opposed to tailored cigarettes. Tailored cigarettes have a fair bit of stuff in them to keep them alight, whereas rolling tobacco does not.) Plus, nicotine isn't your friendliest amine of the bunch.

I'd probably say alcohol over-all, as the social implications of alcohol aren't conatined or restricted nearly as much as cigarette smoking.

It depends on the amount and the person. Seeing that you are a 21 year old student The Alcohol may be worse for you. It tends to lead to unwanted pregnancies and really bad choices in boyfriends.

Some people can handle on well and not the other.

It depends on the conditions. How much you drink or smoke, etc, but technically they're both bad. The worst I'd have top say are cigarettes. Cigarettes cause bad breath and you can die faster from smoking than drinking. Smoking litterally turns your lungs into black beans that are scrunched together. Drinking only disorients your brain causing it to lose control. When this happens often your mind shuts down.

Easily cigarettes. Alcohol, while still a poison, is nowhere NEAR as potent as nicotine. It also doesn't poison everyone around you, as cigarettes do. The only real problem with liquor comes from drinking too much. Cigarettes will kill you slowly no matter how little you have. One cigarette takes seven minutes off your lifespan.

personally, i think cigarettes are worse. once you smoke one, your lungs cannot be reversed to the same condition again. when drinking alcohol, however, you can recover from whatever dizziness you had. when you buy both of these, you need to show your ID; but haven't you ever noticed those bad facts of information on the cigarettes, and no bad information on the alcohol (except for don't drink and drive)?

From the options given I say Cigarettes. Alcohol in moderation can actually be good for you. But, the Hypocrites will disagree. Just ask your doctor.

Alcohol

I've never heard of anybody smashing their car through the garage door, throwing up on themselves and then stumbling throught the house to beat the crap out of their wife because they had one too many cigarettes at the bar.
