could possibly be a mixed breed. Those are very high-strong, energetic animals. And they need tons if not all of your attention.

Insanity is synonymous with Chihuahuas. If it's unusually furry, you might have a long haired Chihuahua ... or a Pomeranian.

Chihuahua's are not insane by nature. Please describe your problem that you consider "insane." My chihuahua loves children and is an awesome dog, I highly recommend the breed to people who can understand small dogs. You look like a skyscraper to your dog, if he is acting scared - that is why.

There are long hair chihuahuas...
The insanity could be genetics... it's mother may be it's sister if you know what I mean. Not unusual in dog breeding.

small dogs have the biggest personalities around. at my last job we had a special section for just the small dogs to socialize bc they would drive the bigger ones crazy.

Insanity goes with the breed, although most of them are hairless ratlike creatures. You can train out the insanity, although it will always be small and ratlike.
