If this GOD gave his ONLY SON to die for our sins, and he promised JESUS he'd do so...then why is it we need to seek his approval?
And if he made us in HIS own image, than what does that say of him? That he back stabs, kills, and does horrific things just like us?
Does this seem like a true and LOVING god?
I don't get where alot of you people think that he's so PERFECT when he rightly states that his SON was killed by us, and died for our sins. And then tells us we have to STILL gain rights to go to HEAVEN? He died for absolutely no reason . Jesus got jipped.
And BORN IN SIN!! Wait one moment here. How in the hell are we born in sin if his son died on the cross to CLEAR US OF SIN? Does that seem fair to that young, child who knows nothing of this world, let alone what happened THOUSANDS of years ago? I'm sorry, but, I wouldn't follow a god that is THAT hypocrytical. Seems like all he wants is to be worshiped for NOTHING. That isnt a god I'd want.

Not to mention; what kind of god would allow his children to off each other by the millions?
What kind of god, if he loves us SO much, would subject us to diseases that kill thousands by the day?
What kind of god, constantly, contradicts what he says in the bible, with actions he 'SUPPOSEDLY" takes in our lives?
And finaly, What kind of god would be willing to let his own son die? What "FATHER\MOTHER" WOULD LET THEIR OWN SON DIE FOR THE SINS OF OTHERS?
If this god is willing to let the very people who do not give one shred if he's real kill his son, then what makes you think he gives a damn about the rest of us?
I want answers, because nobody has been able to give me clear answers ever!
I don't want to be sent off to someone who is a bible thumper, I dont want dodgy, non debateing answers. I want true, clear cut, died in the wool answers!
Because seriously, I see nothing redeeming about this so-called Almighty Creator. Not one redeeming quality what so ever!

Ok, there are quite a few people who have said that just belive in him, and you shal go to heaven.
I'm not saying I don't want to understand, cause I do, but when people tell me he makes these demands of me, I feel less and less like wanting to "worship" him.
If anyone wishes to debate this with me, please feel free to instant message me, my yahoo screen name is also my name on here.

LAST EDIT
Ok, I see some great answers, and some realy dodgy ones.
"Jesus was not jipped he died for our sins we dont have to gain rights. just accept him as our savior." -- This is exactly what I was talking about. Its just the same as having a prerequisite to being allowed into heaven. ' accept me as your savior, and you dont burn in hell'
I'm sorry, if I am being given a choice, that isnt realy a choice to begin with, then it's not realy fair is it?
It's either, accept him as the savior, or as god, or I spend my eternity in hell for not wanting to be bossed around by some being that hasnt given me any reason to do so except for something that happened way before my time.
It's unfair to make such a demand. If he loves us so, and Jesus died for out sins, shouldn't it be enough that I belive it happened, and that I'm thankfull for that?
Why does this mean I have to give my life up to him? Why does this mean I no longer have a choice to do as I feel is my destiny?

wow you sound pretty angry. i'm sorry you feel this way
Adam and eve were created in his image. once they sinned that image was marred and they had to leave the garden and work. they were not created to back stab, kill, and do horrific things.
God loved them and he loves us he made them the perfect world to live in they/we messed up not him.
Jesus was not jipped he died for our sins we dont have to gain rights. just accept him as our savior. we follow his commands out of love and obedience to him. you can't earn your way into heaven.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:9, 10
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:24. "A man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Romans 3:28.
Jesus said: "These things have I spoken unto you ... that your joy might be full." John 15:11. "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36. "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me." Galatians 2:20. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13.
show me where in the bible it says we are born in sin?
thanks!

If the idea of Christianity's God is real, God would be True Neutral more than an all-loving god. If your dad whom in his spare time, created drugs like E and threw them into a crowded room of ravers, then tell you that it was a plan to see if anyone would take the bait, would you label him as A) Omnipotent Being of Great Wisdom, or B) Criminal? Followers of God religion ALWAYS says that the evils of the world are created by the Devil. Who created the Devil and allows it to wander the planet and destroy everything? They argue that if you were a parent, would you be to blame if your children commit crimes. No as human parents we won't, BUT GOD is friggin powerful. With a snap of his eyelash, he can command an entire existence to disappear. All loving? Not even close.

God is all powerful and all knowing and his plan is to save everyone and I think he will do that. I believe everyone will be saved through Jesus in due time. I think some will be saved during life on earth and the rest will be saved afterward. God is much more loving than we give him credit for. We misinterpret what the Bible is really saying and say he isn't loving. The Bible says he is going to save everyone eventually. He allows us to have free will so we can learn and grow spiritually. We cause a lot of our own suffering and abuse the free will that we have. God is 100% just and good and he will save everyone in the end. He only allows evil to be done so that he can make a good situation out of it. He loves you more than you know.

First, Jesus came to the earth willingly. We can thank Satan for all of the wickedness and evil, it was Satan that fell away from God, and wanted to be worshiped. That is why Satan lied to and tempted the first human pair to eat from the tree that God had told them not to. There are consequences to everything we do, just as there were consequences for Adam & Eve and the generations that have followed. God had warned them that they would no longer live in a paradise if they disobeyed Him. Jesus was needed to "pay a ransom" with his blood, (so that it matched a perfect exchange) for what Adam had lost for mankind, the opportunity to live forever in a paradise where there was no sickness, or pain, or evil, or suffering, etc...That is why we are all born into sin, because of Adam's sin. Jesus' shed blood bought back our right to be forgiven by Our Heavenly Father. Satan the Devil is to blame for all of the world's suffering. I suppose God could have created us all as a bunch of robots, who automatically serve HIM, but He doesn't want to twist our arms to love and serve Him, He would rather we do it of our own free will. p.s. God and Jesus knew that Jesus' death was only temporary, Jesus was resurected to sit at the right hand of God, and holds the title of "KING".

He does love us sooo much that he paid the price of blood on the cross for us . Are you willing to receive a free gift to heaven ?When Adam and eve sinned ,man was destine to die as a result of that sin and to be separated from God forever . Just admit that you are a sinner , we all are, you, me ,any pastor , the pope, and are you willing to turn from your sin and try to live Gods way ? When we get to the age when we know what we are doing is wrong then our sins will add up.

Sounds like you have Him all figured out....I hope your venting helped, but the only reason you are struggling with this at all is that you know there is a battle going on within you.
Here is some simple truth:
God loves you and He is Holy.
God cannot be/nor will be associated with sin.
God provided a way for us to be reconciled with Him. It's our choice.
Ask the Father to give you an open mind, ready to learn the truth about Him.

Yes God gave Jesus to die for our sins, but it is up to us to whether belief in Jesus for this (John 3:16) who said we need to seek his approval,we just need to ask for forgiveness and show signs of changing.
When He said we are made in His image, what He means is that we are all 3 parts in 1 like Him, that is body, soul and spirit, however our nature is SO much different from His. When mankind disobeyed God in the garden of Eden, and eat from the tree of evil that's when we first had a sinful nature and it is from here that we all came to be born in sin.
As for the babies ,well yes it seems unfair, but if these babies happen to die in infancy, they would go to heaven, that's why in christian belief children are under the covenant of their parents, once they turn 13,it signifies coming of age and of course by now have heard of the gospel, here they have a choice.

I completely agree with you. Christianity only makes sense to those who close their eyes and shut their ears; you'd have to have your senses dulled in order to believe that contradictory, ignorant drivel.
Another few points: If God is all loving, why is He a jealous god? Why did he make the flood happen? Why did he condemn billions of people to a life in hell just because they didn't believe in Christianity or lived a lifestyle that many Christians proclaim as sinful?

you are taking this so literally!
Jesus died so that our sins will be forgiven IF WE ARE SORRY. if we aren't, then its like saying, i dont care that you died Jesus.
God is not hypocritical. the 'image' thing can be interpreted in many ways. it doesn't mean that we are like God. if we were actually like God, the world would be a wonderful place!
try reading the bible or talk to a priest. you only have one interpretation. In fact, go to church. the priest explains the bible to you. ask other christians.
God isn't anything that you have said. you need to talk to a christian about this so you can understand.
i hope that you will discover the truth....
dont be angry about this...in time you will understand...
God bless
He loves you
