In your dreams...

No. It's been a re-writing of history by the Xians that it was sin and other such things that caused the fall of the Roman Empire. This is even more ridiculous since Xianity was the religion by order of the emperor post 100 ad or so...

It was more an eroding of the military which caused the fall, since the empire was surrounded by barbarian tribes it had stepped on for years, when the military was no longer what it had been, the borders just slowly collapsed...

No, actually one of the major causes of the fall of the Roman Empire is quite simple: lead plumbing pipes. While the Romans had a fairly advanced system for delivering fresh water to buildings in the city, the water was transported through lead pipes. Over time, lead poisoning caused brain damage. Needless to say a lot of other things also happened, including the rise of Christianity, but many historians agree lead poisoning was a significant factor.

No, homosexuality was around since the begining of Rome and not frowned upon by society.

The cause of the fall of Rome is debatable. Some say a decrease of numbers in the army was the cause, some say the split of rome caused it. Rome's economy had been declining and loyalty to the empire decresed. A popular beleif was that Rome's massive size was the cause of its downfall. Others say that Rome never "fell", but society overall just changed. In the end the Byzantine Empire continued to rule while Rome was bombarded by foreign invaders. Italian city states then appeared.

Homosexuality doesn not usually cause empires to fall, but a large homosexual population is common in rich, but declining empires Take for instance Rome, Britain and Turkey. All were very large and rich empires, but in their days of decline, they had high homosexual populations. This is usually a trend within the army. I'm not saying it brought down these empires, but it is a trend that declining empires with lots of money tend to have high homosexual populations. Often times people take these kinda of trends and use them to blame the fall of these empires on homosexuality, when many other factors are the real destroyers, such as famines, diseases, invasions and rebellions.

gays were widely accepted and common in teh roman empire, which is speculated on why it fell but i dont know why, however history books say that the massive size of the empire itself is the reason it fell, because it was too hard to control such a large size of land with limited modes of communication, news, etc.. Just like blowing a bubble, once you get big enough, the whole thing explodes into fragments

Debt was the cause of the fall of the Roman empire. Romans were a lustful society, and at some point fleshly lust took precedence over maintaining their kingdom ...so the spent, spent, spent, and didn't save a penny. They thought they were invincible.....lol@edgar!

I like when people with no knowledge of history answer no right away just because they like homosexuality. FOr all they know it oculd have fallen because a general was ramming another general and didn;t notice an army coming.

Maybe. It could have been homosexuality and other sexually free behaviors that led to a string of insane and mentally handicapped emperors through syphilus. It also could have been led pipes and general laziness.

no, the empire got too big to control while barbarians were constantly seizing lands, and people were revolting. The government was corrupt which lead to an eventual overthrow of the ceaser that resulted in war for about thirty years.

No, but read Gibbons 'Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire', and it'll tell how false religion was mixed into Christianity.
