ther are reasons for your dog to be doing this
if he is already trained and it is a new problem try hartz spray called "stay off training aid" other companys are avail. by other names
you also have to wipe up where they already went with a product called"out" it is a pet stain and oder remover
this is needed because they will go in the spot again and again if they smell urine
if you have not trained him you should try the crate method i did this method on all 3 of my dogs and it really works!

Well, if he's never been housebroken before, you need to start from the basics.
-Tell him "no!" when he pees on the floor. No hitting, this makes them sorta forget the oopsie they did and focus on the pain.
-Wipe the accident up with tissue paper.
-Bring him outside and put the soiled tissue on the ground outside.
-Stay there until he goes potty outside (this is why it's good to catch him in the act and put him out, so he still has some left in him to go outside).
-When he goes potty outside, go NUTS with prasing him and telling him how go he is.
And just keep up at that. Wash the floors with vinegar to keep the smell gone (or else they go pee in the same spot if they still smell it).
You can try a 'naughty corner' punishment. When my dog did something bad, I'd make her stand up facing the corner and say "who did that?" in a stern voice and make her stay there for a minute (or longer once she got better at it). After a while, if she did something wrong, all I'd have to say is "WHO DID THAT???" and she'd run and put her nose into the corner.
You could, if the dog is small enough, put a litter box in the house overnight and try to litterbox train him. I actually started my dog off on that. I used to confine her to the bathroom and put the potty in one end and her food dishes on the other and it'd sort of force her to use the box since it was so small in there. HOWEVER, this doesn't work with all dogs... I had another dog I tried this with who just ended up going poop everywhere and anywhere--even on his dishes. >_>
There are products you can use to deter them from going in a spot. I can't think of any offhand, but check out a pet supermarket or such.
Also, someone else mentioned neutering. If the dog isn't fixed, definately look into that. That would settle the territorial hormones and make it much easier to housebreak him.

Need more details. Is it a boy? how old? Is he fixed? If its a male and he's not fixed, it's not about not being house broken.
Hes marking his territory.Un-neutered males want every one to know this is his territory, so hes scent marking by urinating.
2) It could be a bladder infection if its a fixed male of female,
go to your vet and have it checked.
3) If its a puppy and you let it loose around the house they have a lot of accidents, then they dont get trained well because they are going to keep going were they smell urine,
if its a puppy learn about crate training. Good luck

Dogs do not automatically no it is wrong and products are not going to help
If it is a new behaviour the first thing to do is make sure it is not as result of infection
If the dog is not neuterig that could partly be the problem
To have a house trained dog mean you have to train it so it learns that peeing is not appropriate'

first off this shuld have been done when he was 5 months. since not there is a spray at petstores that can be put on things to help. you can try to have him just piss out side by crate training. this takes time but pays off. leave him in there then take him on a long walk after. or If you let your dog outside every so often like 2 or 3 hours that will help him know where 2 pee.

first is the dog male or female, if the male has not been fix they will mark there spots and it hard to stop them. The other thing how old is the dog if its older they will start having problems. What we did when we took your puppy out to go potty if she went when she came in she would get a dog treat. Its hard work you have to work on it

don't agree with the crate train.. my dog is part of our family and has never been in a crate. he don't go in the house either. but there is a few things I've learned. one he don't get water before I go out. he goes out before I leave for work. keep the toilet seat down. I feed and water him the same time every night (5:30) and if I'm running late he lets me know.he gets water then. it work for us its all in how you train him the wee pads have worked for friends but even then you need to ween them off or you will have that as long as the dog.

Yea they are called "wee-wee pads". They are sold in pet stores. Dogs are attracted to them and like to pee on them. Also you can try taking him for a two hour walk and eventually he will have to pee. After he pees outside than give him a treat. The wee-wee pads are very cheap.

Rub his nose in it and say no at the same time (firmly), then immediately put him outside. This works very well and he will get the hint very quickly.

You don't need expensive products, you need to crate train him. Persist, it does work.
