i don't smoke or am around it. but i am dating a pot smoker and of course, we do make out all kinds. can intense kissing make me test + for marijuana? i feel silly asking that but i am concerned with random testing at work.

No. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the active ingredient in weed is stored in the fat cells of the body and detected in urine and hair samples. Trace amounts are in second hand smoke. Nothing is stored in the saliva or any part of the mouth.

Before doing a urine test it is recommended to not use the bathroom or drink any liquids 4 hours prior to taking the test. That would explain why you had the negative urine tests at the doctor. The blood tests sounds like it is right on track. During early pregnancy the main thing is whether the numbers are doubling every 48 hours or so. You may want to call and ask your Dr. if they can do another blood draw on Thursday just to help calm your anxieties. Congratulations!

Usually when being tested for THC there is a certain level/amount of THC they are looking for. Being around it a lot or 'madly making out' with someone who smokes it will not usually make that particular amount needed to test (+) for THC. If you drink your 6-8 cups of water will keep the urine pretty diluted anyway.

I doubt it, but there are somethings you can do if it did turn out a "false positive". The urine test is only a couple $ and there are many things that will give a false reading. Tell them you took ibuprofen if questioned. They would be hesitant about giving the more expensive tests. The neon joint site has a detailed section on drug testing that can answer your questions.

Actually, yes you can. If it enters your body in any way, a test could come out positive. A slim chance, but it can happen.
