We aren't close friends, we don't talk, and I don't think there's a possibility of us being together again. I know a lot of responses might be to 'meet new people' - but is that really the best way?

no its not the best way youll only compare or think the next person is the same as the last. just find something to occupy in your life. and you will soon start to forget him, he will start to fade in your heart, and mind. his face and his words. trust me. from my own exsperience. i didnt jump into another relashionship i just concentrated on other things in my life and was looking for nobody untill that certain someone finds you. its the best way to get over someone. is to dont remember who you were with him but who you were before him. and you can start over again.remember your never stuck. life goes on and rearanges your life.

Yea, probably getting over it is good, because, why would you want to wait for that person if you don't think you guys will get back together? If things didn't work out this time, it might end up like this all over again w/ that person.

spend time with your friends, family and other people you love. Spend time alone and reconnect with yourself... take time to remember who you are as a single person, what you did well in the relationship and what you learned and what you could do better the next time.
It just takes time but if it is truly over don't dwell on it. Do something you enjoy or do something to help others to take your mind off of your problems for awhile.

Focus on yourself for the time being. Meeting new people isn't the greatest idea after a break up.

nope. You wouldn't want to meet new people when u're still trying to get over an ex.

What you can do is to keep yourself busy with your own work, go out with close friends and confide in them. They will be there to listen to your problems.

yea i think so.....putting yourself out there and hanging out with old and new friends is the best way to move on..... its gets your mind off of your ex and you eventually end of meeting someone you like more then your ex..... but you cant sit inside and sulk all day get out have fun enjoy yourself

Try to get over it by getting together with your friends and doing something you love to do.Then you'll feel allot better with your self to see that other people still respect you.
