My navel ring finally finished rejecting this morning. Now I have these two weird lumps of skin (the sides) with an indentation in the middle of them. The skin lumps are kinda hard and each has a small little scab on the top of it. Will they ever go away? Or will I be stuck with the weird skin lumps and an indentation forever? Also, will I be able to get it pierced again? If so, how long should I wait?

And yes, I know it's "nasty," but please don't leave answers just saying that. It wastes both your time and mine. Thanks.

It's not infected.

Also, the needle was sterilized. I watched my piercer first take it out of the unopened, sterilized package, and then sterilize it with sterilizing stuff before I got it done.

Thanks for all your answers so far, I'll definitely try everything. I feel much better now.

The scar won't go away. However, any area that is pink will fade to flesh tone and white. I don't recommend doing it again since your skin already rejected it once.

Mederma. same things pregnant ladies use for stretch marks. Strongest thing I know of. Good luck.
P.S. Wait till it heals to use mederma. Also, it is not cheap. And use Neosporin until then. :o)

I'm sure you could pierce it again if you wanted to. Just wait till it heals and then give it a few more weeks to finish healing on the inside before you do. I have healed piercings and that little knot never goes away. It does shrink some though. Mederma will only help the outer appearance.

I used to work in a jewelery store and I found out that they don't sterilized the needle. You might have a infection. You need to go consult a doctor. If it has lumps and they kinda of hard with a scab they might leave you damage for ever. The only way to get rid of the scarring is to get plastic surgery. You need to get tested for HIV or AIDS.Because when we Perice the body blood usually come out.If the doctor is able to fix it don't go get it Perice again.

Fresh aloe vera. You snap open a piece and rub the juice on the area daily. It will speed the healing and minimize the scarring.Good luck :)

Honestly the same exact thing happened to me 2 years ago. I have a little dot and that is it. You really can't see anything. Mine looked exactly like you describe...it was bad. I hope yours turns out the same...good luck!!
