Because we're not some animal who only acts on instincts. We have a brain and that is what makes us different from animal species. We are able to think and make decisions.

Ohhhh, hahaha....
They're called complex emotions. That's part of what makes us humans...what sets us apart from animals. Our lives aren't based solely on survival. For animals, sex is for reproducing. For humans, it has become something special shared between two people...and if you're going around having sex with everyone, then it isn't very special, now is it?

Homosapiens are intellectual animals and therefore require communication. Because of this necessary communication, human beings develop feelings of trust and companionship. If an ape has two mates, he is also not being questioned about it if you get my drift...lol!

Because in the first place, we consider ourselves on higher understanding than those of the the animals'. Mate, we shouldn't compare ourselves with animals because they only run on instincts. And even if they do, it's still overrun by instincts.

ACCTUALLY, There are many animals that have a partner for life, and we are the only Mamals That consistantly change there partner, and Humans are treated more respectivly than animals
