No buying your kid everything they think they want or have to have will do nothing but cause problems down the road. Leads to selfishness and makes most of them think to world owes them something because they are them.

Just come to Boca Raton florida and get a glimpse of it for yourself. You'll end up buying your kid a 1990 Honda after seeing how bratty and snobby and DANGEROUS these 16 yr old kids are who drive expensive cars. The parents are ignorant fools. My downstairs neighbor is one of those kids. Unemployed, no school, smokes pot all day everyday, no respect for his neighbors gets trashed all weekend

If i had more money than i knew what to do with, i still would NEVER buy my 16 year old a brand new car. They need to get a car just like I did, by working for it. They need to earn it. Those people are so rediculous!

I hate that show. It shouldn't even be called a 'reality show' because it's a reality that most of their garden-variety viewers have no chance of ever experiencing!
But, to answer the actual question, no, I would not buy my kid a luxury car at *any* age. At most, I'd help them pay for it (matching whatever they put toward it), but that's about it.

Well, Mercedes-Benz is widely known, not only for its luxury, but also for its various safety features. They make life or death differences in car accidents. If their parents had money to afford and trust them enough with it, I don't see a problem with it.
Although, if I had that much money, I wouldn't buy them a car with only my money. I'd make them work for it and put some money into it.

No. I come from a middle class family with those values. What kind of life lesson can be taught to a teenager by buying them an expensive anything except that "we're rich". I guess society needs to always have their share of boorish snobs.

I would say don't get your 16 year old a brand new car until they prove that they can drive it without wrecking it.
and ... when you actually have the money to do that.

I think those parents shouldn't have been allowed to have children since they are just buying the child's love with frivolous, material things.
Do I need to answer the last question?

They're morons who don't want their kids to have any understanding of the value of money, and of course they have way to much of it to blow.
