Lately she saw a moth flying around, and she got a few good swipes at it, and then it flew away and she couldn't find it. Now she's searching all over the house with eyes as big as saucers and she's meowing alot. She's looking at me as if I did something with it (I didn't.). I've tried playing with her, but no success. She has plenty of clean litter, food, and water.
What's her deal?

She's a cat. Thats the answer. She's annoyed it's gone and wants you to be informed. I had a black cat, Sam, who did that all the time. Eventually she'll stop, you might want to try cat treats.

If she is not FIXED I would say maybe she is in heat. A female cat has a low, long meow and does it all the time when in heat. It may not be the moth at all she's looking for. Other than that I suggest U give that little princess a new moth, go look under your porch light at night and make her night. I may just go get my two rascals something to chase, much better than a mouse! Good luck!

She wants to play and can't find the moth.
My male cat does this all the time. He spots a fly or a moth and he just goes nuts trying to catch it. He'll cry when he looses sight of it and stops when he sees it again. He jumps high up in the air trying to catch it and runs all through the house following it.
My female cat isn't all that interested in bugs, but cries when she sees birds, chipmunks, or squirrels out the back window. And let me tell you, it's the strangest sort of meow - something like a cross between a chirp and a meow. It's hilarious.

She probably has never seen a moth before and is strangely curious. It's kind of weird symptoms, though. You might try going to the pet store and buying some bugs for your cat. You might want to injure the bug so it can't escape in your house. That might ease the cats craving for more bugs. Also, she might want a little treat. You could buy at the pet store a little treat box and fill it with kitty treats. My cat loves it when I do that for her! Good luck!

she probably is trying to protect you to make sure the moth doesn't hurt you so i would get a moth and give it to her and then she might stop! Good Luck!

My cat does this often...you just have to say "It's ok kitty I'm here!" It worked with both of my cats. Or somehow try to distract her with another toy maybe...
