I have major stomach pains almost two or three times a day. they aren't bad enough that i think i need immediate medical attention. I usuallly get the pain in my middle to upper stomach and it is a sort of sharp, searing pain. i don't normally have any other symptoms beside the stomach pain. they come on randomly and i never know when they will happen. please tell me what you think this is. and could you possibly tell me how to get rid of the pain. please and thank you.

some things it may be are:
gallbladder issues or gallstones
acid reflex

the only thing you can really do is go to your primary care doctor and let him see if he can diagnose you and if he can't then he will send you to a specialist. you can't do much for gallbladder except get diagnosed and then do whatever the doctor says. and then with acid reflex... you just have to take medicine.
good luck!! :)

Well I'm no doctor but I think it depends on what your putting into your stomach, stress!!! ( major cause of mysterious pains) are you drinking plenty of water? could you be worrying to much and causing an ulcer? theres a lot to consider but I would keep a log of when it happens, level of pain, how many times a week, etc... for a month or so If It does not go away see a doctor and take your diary with you.
HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!

Sounds to me like you may have heartburn also known as GERD. Most people experience this every once in awhile in life. You could try and take some antacids like TUMS, or some proton pump inhibitors like Pepcid AC, and Peptobismol. Also change some of your eating patterns. Try not to take in so many carbonated beverages as these may trigger the acid reflux. Nexium may work to. If all of this does not help than I would say go see a doctor. Also try getting on WebMD on the internet. It is a big help. Good luck and God Bless.

You could have a number of things. You could have ulcers or even gall bladder problems. The area you are describing sounds like maybe your pancreas. An inflammed pancreas can also come from gall bladder problems. If you drink alcohol heavily this can also cause this pain. YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR. Best Wishes!!
