my bestie tends to wear makeup to school. but the thing is she only does it to help her enhance the look she already has for the boy,and for herself. But she continuosly has to touch up her makup throughout the day, and change her hairstyle when she goes to the bathroom with is about 6 times in a 6hr school day. Is she obsessed? Or do guys really see it as a turn-off to a girl?

It's called vanity. Sounds obsessed to me. Yeah, it's a turnoff alright.

I'm certain that you mean "Do most girls do this" because "Does" and "Girls" do not agree. What grade are you in exactly? And why is it that people on Y! Answers seem not to know English at all? I only graduated High School 8 years ago and I remember quite clearly that I had to learn how to speak English and I know there were tests. Maybe that was just MY school?
To answer your questions; no, most girls DO not do that. Touch-ups are popular, but not necessarily every hour on the hour. I would tell her she has an obsession. And is her name Bestie or Betsy? Interesting name for someone still in school.

Yes guys do see that as a turn off. Guys like a girl who take care of herself but if a guy ask her out and shes constantly checking herself hes going ot not like that because shes obsessed with herself. Thats Its an obsession tll her its weird. That might be hard but your helping her help herself.

She's obssesed. I;m a girl and sure I worry about my looks but da only time i look in the mirror is in the morning before I leave the house, then after gym (cause it gets messed up then) and that's about it. it's not like anything will dramatically change every hour. Plus if something really is wrong like if I look like a mess then my friends let me know. Otherwise, it;'s just hair. There r more important things to worry about.

No she isn't obsessed maybe she wants to feel better about herself.I think that guys like that she takes care of herself,if she never took a shower and wore ugly,dirty,baggy chloths
nobody even the boys would not like her.So what if she does that`stuff kind of alot,if she wants to do that you shouldn't interfere with your friends life.I am not trying to be mean or anything but if your friend does something I think that you should try to support her.maybe she wants to do her own thing

Almost every girl goes to the bathroom 6 or more times a day to fix their hair or makeup.
And its usually for some little crush she has. It's not obsession.

I CAN understand that she wants to look presentable for the guy she likes but what I CAN'T understand is why she should change her hairstyle every single time she goes to the bathroom. That's going too far and is waay too much. You should tell her that 1 hairstyle for one day is good enough for her, you and him =]. That's my advice to you. Amd also tell her the best way to get the guy that she likes is to talk to him and get to know him. It's not all about her personal appearance you know.

She does sound a little obsessed. Most girls do touch up their hair and make up but not 6 times a day.
Guys don't even notice it. She could go all day and NEVER touch up and the guys wouldn't care.

some people are just over obsessed with the way they look. i used to be like that when i was in high school. she'll prolly grow out of it. i would say that guys prefer that girls wear makeup and stuff, but they don't really care to see you putting it on all the time or obsessing over it.

Yeh, your Friend sounds like she is way overboard about her looks! She is paying TOO much attention to that for 1 guy, also!
I don't know about a guy seeing this as a turn off, BUT maybe you will know soon enough when enough guys answer. Hope you get many.

it depends on the guy some guys wont care unless they get that one thing. but to be honest a girl needs to balance out the care for herself and the care for her man. face it any kind of obsession is annoying. just leave her to it or you will find yourself obsessed with trying to tell her what to do. sometimes the hard way to learn is the best way.
