Nope....doesn't work, at least not in my experience. Well, the friendship part can continue and stay "meaningful" but not the romance part. Guys have a totally different relationship with "friends they have sex with" than women they want to date and marry. (In my experience anyway.) So if you want him to love you like a girlfriend/wife, don't do the FWB thing. Make him work for the physical part. Guys respect that.
BTW...I just realized you may not be a female. Sorry ! If you're a guy, the answer might be different. I wouldn't know, because I haven't been FWB with a woman ! :)

I would definitely advise against it. Besides my personal beliefs about this sort of thing, I can offer the practical arguments that
A. I've never, EVER seen this kind of relationship go very deep.
B. Since this isn't a relationship with any sort of committment, you never know who else might be sharing in those benefits... and get a nasty rash for your trouble.
Anyway, bottom line is I sure wouldn't hold my breath.

There is no such thing as a "friends with benefits" relationship. That is just a new word for "booty call". People who use you just for that are not your friends. And no, meaningful relationships do not grow out of scenarios where you're someone's toilet.

Well, it's been about 5 yrs since I last saw my "friend with benefits." We also no longer speak. It was good while it lasted. The reason you are friends with benefits is that is your "booty" call when you aren't involved witn anyone else more than likely. Unless you were already friends first, chances are that relationship isn't going anywhere.

okay dont go into the friends with benefits cause that doesnt work out. just before u get hurt tell them how u feel about them. i would rather loose benefits than a friend or get your heart broke. good luck best wishes.

There is NO meaninful relationship in a friends with benefits arrangment. Friends with benefits means the other person can use you as their phucking post and that's it. If you LIKE being used and treated like a whore then I guess THERE is your meaning to it all.

I don't believe in friends with benefits. It's like you can't be satisfied with them as a girlfriend or boyfriend, so you have a friend who fills your sexual desires. Grr..it makes me mad. It's like some excuse of having more than one girlfriend or boyfriend.
