Turn on the TV. Eat some chocolate. Lock yourself in your room with ear plugs. Put them to bed early and do something just for you.
Or, do something fun with them, this helps keep everyone happy.

lol....i have 3 year old twins. i get frustrated all the time. i just go outside and calm down ..let them throw their lil tantrums and fits. Also I my husband and I do switching on a off. I will get a few hours to myself either shopping alone or getting my hair and nails done a few times outta the week while he sits at home and takes care of them. Even though you are a mom now doesnt mean you have to spend every second with your kids. Alone time without kids/husband/pets is good for you. Go drink some coffee with a friend or just go to a park and relax.

Tell them you need some MOMMY time for yourself and go soak in the bathtub with the door locked and a good book. This is assuming they are old enough to be left in front of the TV with a movie to entertain them for 1/2 hour. Or tell them they have to go and play in their room and stay in there until you tell them it is time to come out because you need some alone time for yourself.

Take a break... find a babysitter, a relative, someone you trust to take care of your kids for a couple of hours and exit the environment immediately! Go for a walk, a quiet dinner somewhere, a movie...anywhere by yourself. You have to re-energize yourself or you will end up blowing the roof off your house. Kids are wonderful but they will drive you crazy. Take it from me.. a break will help you cope (I know, I've dealt with six growing boys!

Just remember no one is perfect, everyone gets stressed. The women that were once little girls and carried around baby dolls and could only think of growing up and having their own precious babies, get JUST as stressed as normal people who just kind of happened to have kids.
I keep my stress levels down (with a 2 year old -ugh terrible 2s, and a 6month old) by every once in a while, just letting them scream. If you know that they do not necessarily NEED anything, it cant hurt, but pay attention to their cries. If they get too worked up that isnt good for them.

Every now and then we face hardships. There are two cycles. First one is, growth, love, marriage, sex, kids, divorce, and the second one is growth, love, love(2), sex, kids, marriage, death. Where I am going with this, is that Parents care so much for their children, it is IMPOSSIBLE to find out if the couple is right for each other until the children grow up and start their own cycle.
UPDATE: NO WONDER*** many couples divorce and start fighting as seniors in their age.

I put them in their cribs, and take a bath and drink a couple beers. Of course I change their diapers and give them a snack and a sippy cup before I do all that. An hour later I'm a refreshed mom and we get on with life as normal.

I hate to brag but I am sooooo beyond that stage now. My kids are now full time school age and I have about 35 hours a week all to myself. But, before that I used to love nap time.

Put their favorite movie on and go outside to smoke a cigarette. Glad to know I'm not the only one to feel like this sometimes.
