Is your hair breaking off/brittle?

It should be very thick in consistancy, not watery. If you can find conditioners in tubs that you have to use your fingers to get clumps out will work better then bottled liquid conditioners. I use the conditioner from my mother's hair coloring kit. After a shower I towel dry my hair and put it on the bulk and ends of my hair and I leave it in. Don't put it on the roots or it weighs your hair down. Blow drying and hot iron really put the kaboshes to my hair so maybe if you try to avoid such it would help. A wash-and-go hairstyle may help your hair get stronger, healthier. Multi-vitamins also will help your hair strength. My friend started using olive oil and it looks nice but I have yet to get that brave.

You should put hair a high-end hair oil in you hair 15 minutes before you wash it. There are so many great products on the market. For ex: Pantene Ice conditioner, and then put a little Pantene leave-in conditioner on, after you get out of the shower. (If you color you hair, and it's already 'unruly", or do japanese straightening, then you need a professional product). Try the above, they really do work!

WELL-- I've found that, by switching shampoos/conditioners for a few days, that it can make a difference. In theory (JUST a theory), your hair builds up an immunity to certain brands after a time. Well, mine is like that. I have dry-ish, VERy curly hair, and i've found that when I switch, my hair gets different results. Also try switching up your routine, like not even conditioning for a while and seeing what happens.

Besides that, maybe your hair isn't really dry and you just think it is....

I used to bleach my hair out to a blonde (from dark dark brown) and it did a number on my hair. You can try using Phytosesame as a leave in conditioner. It's meant to be a mask however, you use just a little, it won't weigh your hair down. It's a great conditioner for your hair.

I have the same problem. My mom goes to this really good hair products place. Hmmm.. I forgot what conditioner works pretty good for me. But if your getting those cheap shampoos from the grocery store, it wouldnt work really good for you. ~manda~
