I am currently 19 years old and am dating a man that is 53. My parents do not know that I am dating him. I'm living at home still. My boyfriend and I are very much in love. He treats me with extreme respect. I now that he wants to go all the way but I also know that if and when that happens, it would be up to me. Another thing is that I act very mature for my age and he doesn't act his age in the sense that he is a little immature. Sometimes I am more mature.
There is also the issue of his three sons, aged 19, 21, and 23. They don't know about me.
I love my boyfriend and am not planning on leaving him, but I still want to know peoles opinions.

Why is this relationship a secret if you are so proud of it? I was 22 yrs old involved with a 41 year old (ended up marrying him even), but my parents and friends knew all about him and his parents knew about me. I think there is something to the fact that you aren't mentioning him to your parents. I know what my thoughts were later when I divorced my ex (who at 41 didn't look and act 41, but looked and acted 50 later on which totally grossed me out). I also had to look back at myself at the time and see that I was a different person then. Do you have high self esteem? How long have you been dating him? Why does he think it's okay to date someone who is only 19 yrs old. Do not get into a sexual relationship with this person until you can talk about him and introduce him to your parents and friends and he can do the same with his sons. If everything goes okay from there, go for it. You are on the verge of adulthood and getting out on your own. Stand up for yourself and if this relationship is truly built on love, none of what I have said should get in the way. If you can't do this, then you need to re-examine your relationship with this man.

If you honestly think that you both are mature enough for this relationship,then you both need to be mature enough to tell your parents.If you want to be an adult and make your own choices right or wrong ,then be an adult and quit hiding things like a child does.

honey, honey, honey! waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too old! my aunt and uncle are 12 years part and even thats a little extreme. theyre still married and have 2 kids but 19 and 53? way too old! i think u maybe should report him

Do what makes you happy. you are of age and can make your own decisions. if you love him and you want others to know about you two then that is something you need to discuss with him on how to tell the world about your love.
