Was on it in November on the Eastern Caribbean cruise.
The ship is great. It's big, new and lots and lots of things to do on it.
One thing you will find when on it is that in some places you can't get to certain decks. A majority of ship, you can get like go to any stairway or elevator and get from the bottom all the way to the top decks. On the Valor, it's a little more chopped up and sectioned off so you have to kind of work your way around and through areas to get to another area in places. But in saying that, it's not bad by any means, just some areas where you think you'll be at but you'll actually have to walk to another area and go up or down to get to the place. Don't let that be a discouragement by any means.
The Valor has lots of eating places. There's like the deli, sushi bar and such in the hallways to the main buffet eating areas on the Lido Deck. And there are lots of eating "nooks" along the Promenade Deck but remember, they cost extra (but are great - the java cafe has GREAT snacks!)
Get to the shows fairly early because although the theatre is huge, there are lots of people on the ship and good seats fill up quick.
A little first timer cruise top: wait until the last couple of days of the cruise to buy t-shirts/shits from the shops on the ship. They put them on sale and specials the last couple days of the cruise.
If you want a nice picture taken of you on the cruise ship for your honeymoon, there will be LOTS of opportunities for the photo sessions. They line them up throughout the Promenade Deck and in the Grand Atrium about everyday. Formal night is a very popular night to have the pictures done so be prepared to wait on the scene you like. A trick to this is in the early afternoon, go to the photo area and tell one of the photographers that you see that you're on your honeymoon and would like to set a time up when they are taking pictures to have yours taken and they'll remember you and get you to the front of the line at your time with a good excuse.
The ship is a really nice ship and super clean. The people on the ship are great (except for a few of them, as we had a very bad experience that got worse, but that's another post (and more Carnival company itself and certainly didn't ruin the ship or the trip by any means).
Enjoy and take lots of sunscreen and be prepared to be pampered and very relaxed!!!

My husband and I went in March of 05. It was the best ship we'd been on so far. It was our 3rd cruise with Carnival. We enjoyed all the extras that came with a larger, newer ship. We even got addicted to the sushi bar.
