Well, he blew the election of '00 by insisting on 'Counting all the votes'. Of course 'All the votes' meant only hand-counting four heavily Democrat counties picked by Fat Al. Had he simply asked for a recount of the state of Florida he would have gotten it and might even have won.

There is a consensus that he is retarded.

Not really. I thought his film was intentionally misleading (although I believe that anthropogenic global warming is real), and a little too light on the science in some spots. But overall I thought he did an excellent job raising public awareness to the problems of global warming.

As to his views, I haven't done a great deal of research into them. From what I can tell I suspect they would basically be in line with the majority of liberal thinkers out there, in which case I would agree with them.

yet another question which seems to be about shooting the messenger rather than seeing the truth that the earth is in trouble. serious, deep trouble.

if the predictions are true - and there's not really much reason to doubt as the scientific consensus is that the facts are real - we're gunna be leaving on helluva mess for our grandchildren to clean up!

i made a decision 20 years ago that, given the state that this place is in, i'd be doing no-one a favour by procreating. so i didn't have kids and wow am i glad i made that hard as heck decision. i really feel sorry for the innocents out there and what kind of life they're gunna be facing.

dont forget: "there are no stupid questions, only stupid people"

love and light,

Boring yes, dumb no. I tried to sit thru the movie but switched channels after 15 minutes. It seemed to be more about Al than the matter at hand.

Global warming is a fact. The only people who don't support it are lockstep Republicans and fossil fuel companies too cheap to clean up their collective act.

Even Christian Evangelicals have gotten a clue for their children's and grandchildren's sakes.

His intelligence is not a question, but even an idiot would be able to see that we are destroying the planet. People like you just sit there claiming there's no problem while you drive your Hummers three blocks to Starbucks. Global warming is an issue!

He is not dumb. I have not seen his movie, but it is plausible that the rate of increase of carbon dioxide in the air would cause global warming

He is intelligent but that doesn't always equate to smarts or common sense. Dumb? Yes, he's quite dumb, a social outcast when he was young, no doubt, 'cause of his ultra-gnurdyness (the genuine original German spelling is g-n-u-r-d. The 'g' was silent.), and he's never gotten over being raised by (femiNazi) women.

Al Gore is actually extremely intelligent. But there are plenty of dumb people who consider Al Gore to be dumb because they don't like his message.
