Jesus is 100% human. Just like us, before the fall of Adam. In Genesis 3 the Seed of the Woman (born of a virgin without sin nature) would defeat the seed of the serpent. Jesus was born one of us & tempted like the first Adam yet didn't sin (in His humanity). He bore our sins on the cross (the wages of sin is death). He was without personal sin, so raised from the dead, victorious over death for us.
Jesus is 100% Prophet & also fulfilled the OT Messianic prophecies. Jesus also gave the vision of Revelation to John (true prophet) (after Christ Assention).
It is in His humanity that He obeyed the Father Allah to be the Lamb of God & shed His Own blood for the remission of our sins. That He Is our High Priest & King forever in that He shed His own blood once and for all to redeem those who believe in Him. Also, After the Resurrection, Allah highly exalted Him with the Name above all Names (YHVH), that at the name of Yeshua, every knee shall bow & tongue confess, "Yeshua Messiah Yahweh.". So, the resurrected Jesus Christ is confessed LORD, to the Glory of God the Father.
And also, Elohim is Father, Word & Holy Spirit. Yeshua is the Word of Elohim. He Is the Bread that came down from Heaven. So. Yeshua Is the Word of God. Jesus is 100% Deity also.
I agree with you that Jesus should be respected in the media or TV programs or videos. People disrespect the Name of God all the time. But the Christians don't. True Christians love Jesus much, because Jesus saved them from much.
Muslims don't disrespect Jesus humanity & as a Prophet. But it is taught in Islam to deny Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, and deny that He shed His Own Blood for the remission of our sins. So? Denying Christ (When the Good News was presented correctly & in the love of God.) can steal from someone the gift of everlasting life, by atoning for ones sins. Even one sin will keep one out of heaven. God is a Holy God. There has to be an atonement for even the littlest sin.
trebor, Jesus was good in His humanity also. He was without sin in His humanity. That is why He Is the Lamb of God.

You don't understand that, to Christians, Jesus is God, come in the form of a Man...and to a Christian, to call Jesus a "prophet" is not only disrespectful, it borders on blasphemy. Also, to a Christian, the idea that God perpetrated a falsehood by allowing people to believe that Jesus died on the cross while He was really secretly whisked away is the very worst sort of disrespect, not only calling Jesus a liar and a coward, but also calling God a liar. To a Christian, this is much worse than tossing a pig into a mosque or drawing a picture of a dead man.
Don't get me wrong, here. I have no intention of disrespecting your faith by throwing a pig into your place of worship, that's just ridiculous. If I'm gonna spend the money to buy a pig, it's going into my freezer.
But before you get all puffed up about Christians, maybe you ought to think about belonging to a religion that gets so upset over a few silly cartoons that they are willing to actually slaughter people over them.
Fix yourseslf first, then come to Christians and open your mouth.

ok Jesus was human and the son of god. So calling him just a prophet and not a God is kinda disrespectful.
ok, this 1 is a bit tricky for the muslim part. I cant say for sure but its lyk the hercules story kinda. he was a son of a god and to become a god he had to earn it. so or jesus he became truly "Godly" when he died for our sins.
Not all Christians or any other ppl from different religions make fun of Jesus. its only those few ppl who do. the only thing u can do is to not watch it.

What are you talking about? Christians do not say God is human. God sent his son Jesus in human "form" to earth to die on the cross for our sins so we would be forgiven and have everlasting life. Jesus was the son of God, not a prophet for God. The Bible teaches this...Not sure what's broken here?
And I've never bashed anything about your belief because I didn't know what you believed. So please don't generalize us all in your statements. :)

They believe that Jesus is a prophet and that it Not a savior or God's son. (they don't believe in the same God that we believe in and that is their right to do so!). Some of us Christians believe that Jesus is the only Christ and savior. Not just a prophet.
Just because someone respects someone doesn't mean that they believe in him.

The Word of God, the Holy Bible, states that Jesus is wholly man *and* wholly God.
If Jesus is *only* a prophet, then He is a liar; because Jesus said, of Himself, "I am". If He is *only* a good man, then He is a liar, so by definition He could *not* *possibly* be a good man!

Oh dear. Instead of arguing about propositions from long-past ages of ignorance, why don't all the religionists (a) study their own and others respectfully but critically (b) respect the efforts and motives of all involved and (c) move on to a world view of interdependence, based on present knowledge rather than past fantasies, and the relevant shared insights of past philosophers whether "prophets" or not and (d) deal with the realities dogma has brought us to - from sectarian murder (Iraq), imposition of sectarian beliefs on others (USA), etc, to the economic dogma now creating climate change and threatening all life on earth. Get serious about reality, for life's sake. Please?

What we need right now to end this violence is religious tolerance - respect for each other's religious beliefs. That means refraining from attacking the beliefs of other people. Let's just pray for all of us to see the light in this.
Peace!

props to ColdHardTruth. in one version of the Noah's ark tale God is two times stated to have repented of his previous movements. i think of in this context repent is a valuable way of asserting "ok I fcked up".
