I believe the differences in gender reaction to appearance is what makes the difference. Women are more likely to care about making themselves attractive, while the masculine attitude is that they have something to offer, whether they do or not. Their ego is much bigger.
Never realized the unbelievable difference between the sexes until I was around cattle. Watch the Bull with a bunch of heifers, and you sure see a man attitude! It is funny....
