There is this girl i like a lot. I am not timid and would normally jump in, but, all the guys that sit at my table in the cafeteria except me have asked her out. She has expressed annoyance to me about it. Do you think there is ever a good time for me to ask her out? Or do you think I will be another annoyance? (all the guys at my table are uber nerds except me and one other guy) I sit at the table to talk to this girl and two other girls that sit with me. I have been told that I am much cuter than the guys, but I don't know what my chances are. So? any Ideas?

If it's the same one we've talked about before...anytime is a good time! You, my dear, are girl crazy! Before you do anything...make sure this girl knows that you are not a player. No girl wants to be the next flavor of the month. So, if you ask her out, and she says 'no' does that mean she's not interested? No, that means she may be playing hard to get. So then what? Well, try something else, like going to a concert (where there's lots of people and you don't have to talk much) that she really wants to go to. It's hard to turn down an invitation to do something that you really, really, really want to do. Then....be yourself...charming and sincere.

If that doesn't work...see if there's any homework help she needs, or if she can help you on something...

If that doesn't work...ask if you can call...

If that doesn't work, hmmmmmm, maybe you're more of a nerd than you thought? lol

Why are they annoying to her? Because she really wants to date you? Think about it.....hmmmm, maybe today is a good time to ask her out.

Good luck and have fun! Don't overthink this stuff, go with your gut feelings...:)

If this girl in particular is telling you how much she is "annoyed" by the others, that to me would be an indication that you aren't as "annoying" as the others... Meaning, you might have a chance, if she expresses these thoughts to you on many occasions.

But there is NOTHING wrong with being a "nerd." Not our fault we're smarter and end up making the big bucks! =)

Either way, I think you have a much better chance than any of the other fellow males at this table of yours. Go for it, if she rejects, what's the worst that could happen? She says no. It's better knowing than not knowing and wondering if you and her could end up having a good time with one another.

Maybe you could ask her to do something that isn't a date. This way she can see you are different from the other guys before you ask her out on a real date. Just don't diss your friends to make it seem like you are better than them. It won't be attractive.

She's complaining to you how the other guys who have asked her out are 'so annoying'? Hmmm, sounds like she's trying to get you interested. I say go for it, but make sure she's in a good mood when you do.

why don't you ask her to do something casual and see if she likes hanging out with you first and kind of feel out the situation and then maybe after you hang out as friends a couple of times then ask her on a date to like a movie and diner or something you should know by the second time you hang out maybe as her to do something like play basketball or to go on a walk or talk on the phone first as friends and see where it goes from there.
