to be honest with u i think it really depends on the people in the relationship and how well the relationship is going.three's no point in being in a relationship for lets say 6 months and not seeing the person much and not getting on much but u still kinda like one another and calling it a long term relationship.why don't you bring the person out for a nice evening and discuss it with them .maybe the other person will appreciate the fact that your talking to them about this kind of thing and it will make your relationship grow stronger.

Well legally its after 3 months when living together. Dating I would say after 6 months to a year its a long term relationship, but other people think its after a few years, it depends on the situation..take care Heather

it's about the commitment factor how committed are you to that person not about wither it's going to be long term or not if you are dating excursively and either are you are looking or talking to look for another person and are with that person solely then your probably in a long term relationship

it all depends on how comfortable you are with the person. some people may casually date someone for 2 years and not really know them on an extremely deep level. however, other couples focus solely on their relationship (which may/may not be healthy) for only one year & be extremely close.
i'd base it off of closeness, not necessarily years or time-length!

I was with my adorable American g/f 6 months before i thought of it as a long-term relationship. But then i fell in love with her the first time i met her so maybe i was hooked straight off!
There's no set time. When you know you're truly in love, you'll know.

It depends on if you feel you really love this person, and feel all comfortable around her. And it doesn't take you a week or a month just for you to know that, It will probably take a couple years to know. And if you tell her/him that you love her and if she/he loves you back than you have a very good chance of it.
I hoped I helped
Good Luck!
