I thought everyone knew that Jesus was born in Bethelehem, which is in Israel. Israel is a country in the Middle East, where, at one time, the Jews lived. At the time Jesus was born, it was occupied by the Romans.

I was in the Christian book store and saw a picture of Jesus. He did look American or European so I can understand your question, but the Bible says that he was born in Bethlehem in Israel. What's up with that!
