It is silly to take her to place like starbucks on date, it is better to take her to some romantic place.

How about a nice place but for lunch instead of dinner. This way, you make a nice impression but it is a fairly quick get away if you do not click. If you do click, Starbucks may be a way to continue the date. Good luck!

Umm. Have you guys known each other for awhile? If so then take her to a nice place. If not then dont spend too much on her. You can never read someone on a first date so you dont want to spend alot on it. Only if you were friends before. Then you know the person well. And you can take em to a nice place.

Starbucks IF it is an afternoon thing;
NICE PLACE if it's for dinner.

Coffe & snacks at Starbucks are better when you first go out....then neither feels obligated about an expensive dinner....

Nice places have to be earned...take her to Starbucks..that way if the date doesn't go well, you wont feel bad about wasting your money...When you're at dinner you can't just excuse yourself if the date isn't going well

I've blown dates by taking them to an intimate place too soon, meet at a more social place.

if you take her to starbucks you run the risk of losing a gold digger, if you take her to a nice place you run the risk of coming on too strong to a simple girl, you decide

a nice place might imply that your are trying to impress her. but starbucks is way to casual that is a spur of the moment date. go somewhere classic. i confortable resturante local, with good food.

Etiquette rules state that it is permissible to start off with a coffee date with a new person before moving to a meal with courses should one (or both) of you decide a quick escape is necessary.
