I have extremely thick hair, below shoulder length and would love to wear it up, but cannot find any clips or pins that will hold it all. Any suggestions?

I have very thick hair. Try using a banana clip. You can get it at a beauty supply store.

Ok, well I used to have thick long hair (now I have short hair). The best thing to do is use some ponytail twists, and make a high pony tail, then curl it. Granted, your hair probably won't hold a curl for more than an hour. I got a perm and whenever I'd put my hair in a claw clip or in a high ponytail, I got a bunch of comments.

Put it up in pieces. Use 3 or 4 smaller clips and twist some pieces and clip them in the back. That would cute. Or use several bobby pins to pull it all back at the crown of your head. I have long thick hair. I can't pull it all up in anything except a ponytail holder, and that got old. So, I have to do creative things to get my hair up!!

I have super thick hair as well..
It hurts to put it up!

I've foudn that really conditioning my hair..then straighting it makes it more playable and easy to do things with.
