Nothing is wrong with it at all! Don't feed into peer presure, I am 24 with a 6 year old daughter, married at 19 divorced by 21. I now am "saving myself" or am at least a lot more cautious. Don't feed into that "Sex in the City" mentality that in order for women to be strong and independent, we need to be sexual. Concentrate on you and in the long run you will appreciate yourself that much more!

It's good that you're really thinking about your sexuality and trying to make an informed decision. I don't think it's weird at all. There are plenty of reasons an emotionally healthy adult might choose to become sexually active or choose not to, and you have to weigh your own reasons for yourself. Definitely don't base it on what your friends are doing or on what someone else is pressuring you to do. You are much much much more likely to regret having sex before you were really ready than to regret passing up an opportunity, so don't rush into it.

well my girl is a virgin. she's almost 20 (in april)
however.....she has been talking about taking the plunge with me, and i think even though people say you should be married, i see nothing wrong with it if you are VERY careful. i sont think you are weird, but when you are ready and have no doubts about it, id do it. now with my current thing, she wants to...then we will have a long discussion on how that is going to happen. remember, the first guy you are with, you'll get even more attached to them no matter what you do. b/c it is your first LOVER so to say.

No longer in that age range but I started having sex regularly at the age of 12. I have no regrets but there's nothing wrong with wanting to wait either. Just do what's right for you and try not to compare yourself to others around your age who are or aren't having sex.

Im not a virgin but I see nothing wrong with you saving yourself...I may be a guy but sometimes I wish I would have saved myself for marriage because I would have definitely appreciated it more and actually got to enjoy my relationship emotionally rather than physically.

I'm 16 but personally, I don't think you're weird. It's your choice and you should never have to worry what other people think about it. Oh and I totally respect that, btw = ).
