Start making plans for civilian life.
Quit drinking. Look at what it has already cost you.

JKQ is issued on after a serious offense. If they court martialed you, you are toast. I find it hard to believe you were discharged via NJP. What's the rest of the story? I assure you and the readers that this isn't the whole story. With 22 years in the Navy, I've been on 3 dozen court martials and have a little experience here. Put the whole story in your additional comments and we'll see if there is anything you can do.

Had you even discussed this with a JAG lawyer? Prior to discharge they are required to give you the option of a full hearing should you wish to dispute any and all claims. You could have ordered an investigation put into motion to determine if the discharge was an inappropriate punishment .

Take it like the man you were trying to be in the service. You screwed up, and this is what happens. Learn from it and move on. I'm sure you have been told that a DUI has ramifications for the rest of your life......did you think they were just kidding, or just that is was meant for all of the OTHER people?

the Navy has a zero tolerance policy for alcohol related incidents, and has had such a policy since before you enlisted. you screwed up, knowing it was going to bite you in the rear when you got caught.
Your only option is MAYBE the Army Guard, they consider re-4 waivers ona case by case basis.
You are done in the Navy for good.

You are allowed to appeal your discharge after 6 months to attempt to get it changed to a Honorable Discharge after you were separated. I would discuss it with a Navy Career Counselor if i were you. It sounds like they issued you an Administrative Separation.

Seems very severe. What did you do, crash your car in the generals quarters..........lol.
Happened to me, all they did was restrict my driving on base for a year. ( which sucked)
As far as fighting it......well, you can try. Its like fight the IRS......or God for that matter.
good luck
