Well, it's just like some people not liking alcohol (like me). Don't try to FORCE it on the cat.
But I have had quite a few cats that go absolutely nuts over olives. These are green olives with pimento.
All I need to do is roll one onto the floor and my older cat goes nuts. Rubbing herself on it. Crouching over it (with the olive buried under her belly) then springing straight up with all fours, over two feet into the air.

My cats hate catnip. Don't freak out, this is totally normal. The cat doesn't have to like all of the things that cartoon cats love. Some people like pie and some don't. It has to do with likes and dislikes. Come to think of it, animals in general don't like things that others do. They to have personalities and favorites.

Not all cats want catnip. It is not necessary for them to want it. You might think of catnip as a cat happy drug. I have 10 cats and only 4 really like it.

Some cats like it and some do not. Usually the older cats (not kittens) like it. It is not a necessary part of their food chain. Try again at a later time and your cat may love it.

A lot of cats don''t. I saw a lot of good answers. But here's one I didn't see: Plant mint. Sometimes when a cat will have nothing to do with catnip, they go nuts over fresh mint. Catnip is in the mint family. But some cats just prefer fresh mint. If so, it will smell good, too.

Don't listen to cork218 or whatever their name is. I thought my cat didn't like catnip, but when my nieghbors gave me some fancy stuff they ate it up! Literally! They were all fiesty and playfull. So it is a good possibility that your cat likes catnip, but only a certain type. Also, who cares if your cat doesn't like catnip?
Hope This Helps!!

Some cats just don't like catnip. Try to find out something your cat does like instead of dwelling on what he/she doesn't.

Buy one of those sticks with feathers on a string attached to it. Cats go nuts over it and it doesn't involve catnip at all. Oh, there are certain brands of catnip that my kitties seem to really prefer - their favorite is Cosmic Catnip.

Try introducing the catnip in different ways. Maybe a cardboard scratcher. My cat loves that.
