You are doing fantastic! :)

I gave up smoking last November. I remember the third day was my absolute worst, I had shakes, tears, felt cold.. just wanted to curl up in the corner.

As you get more days behind you it will get easier. Once all the nicotine is out of your system you will know that it isn't that that you want but the 'mind prop' that cigarettes become.

I really understand how tough it is, but you have managed to keep away from the cigs for three days and that's fantastic. Don't give in to them. I went out last night and came home and I could smell the smoke on my clothes and it is disgusting! I'm so glad I don't have to smell like that any more. In a few weeks you'll feel the same.. as well as all the other benefits as well. :)

Good luck. :)

It was 3 years for me this past March 1st. The withdrawal period is different for everyone but 4 to 10 days should help you out. What you need the most is WILLPOWER. If you really, really want to succeed. Now take the money you saved and buy yourself a gift, a video game if your into that. There is nothing like seeing a hard reward and comparing it to money going up in smoke. Good luck and hang in there.

Don't give up !!!!!!!!! The third day is supposed to be the worste. This is the hump day. Good for you !! It will be a little easier every day from now on. I'm not saying you wont crave one every now and then, especially when you see or smell it, but the cravings wont be as strong. Try some nicotine gum or patches if you start feeling like you are going to smoke again. You just made one of the most important decisions of you life. Don't give up!

I gave up about 20 years ago, you have just reached the hardest part. this may sound a bit silly but it worked for me.When I felt like I needed a smoke, I poured old beer into a used ashtray and smelt it, now imagine that stuff in your mouth. I doubt that you will smoke again.:-)

Stick with it. You may feel like rubbish for up to a week, then things will start to improve. Treat yourself to a movie or a fancy dinner.

I don't smoke anymore. It has been a year and three months. The first month is the worst. Your body still has not cleaned itself of nicotine. Don't talk addict talk to yourself. Like..."Oh, I feel bad so I will smoke." Just hang on. It does get better.

lol this is the beginning for the change, your body is noticing the absence of the nicotine. once your body no longer craves for the nicotine you'll feel fine, usually about a couple of weeks.
but i bet u already notice a change in your ability to do things. you'll notice that u have a stronger sense of taste, u don't smell of an ash tray and u can walk better without a horrible smokers cough.
don't give up! just wait til its all over u can turn around to all the smokers and walk by them with a big grin on your face!! :)

The first 3 days are the worst. Every day after gets easier. You already won the two toughest battles, day you quit and surviving the first 3 days. Its all smooth sailing from here. Good luck.
