I am 28, single mom, Asian and I have met an Italian guy from myspace, he is such a sweet guy, single, good looking and extra talented. I think I have fallen for him already. He would love to come and meet me here in my country, just wondering if I should meet him or not.

I agree with mrh2004m. I was myself wondering: people who react so bad about meeting people known through the Net, what do they say about meeting a guy in pub, disco, cinema, talking to him for a couple of hours and then meeting he's nice, smart and seems a good guy? Is that really safer than meeting a person you know from the Internet for some months? I dont' think so, but yet *that* is considered quite normal...
I don't know where you from, but I suppose he'd have to do a long trip in order to reach you, right? And we're talking about he visiting you in your Country, not vice versa. Anyway, you have to take every needed precautions like said above. But there's nothing bad in relations which begun on a long distance basis. That's happened in the past, thorough mail, and was really worst than today...
Anyway, I know some people who actually met, some had good times, others were disappointed, some are now married...
One real thing you MUST really be careful is people offering you a job in another Country; here you must act very cautiously and taking all information you can before accepting a job, not just trusting alleged employer...

The signs can be there. I think you can be tricked into falling in love with someone over the internet. But being in love in my opinion comes from a mixture of things. I met my fiance on myspace, we've been together 4 years. We were going to the same college and she messaged me one day. We started talking through myspace messages, then we moved on to aol aim. She had similar taste in music, food and a bunch of other stuff. She was a fun girl and we both made each other laigh over the internet. Before I knew it, a month had gone by of us chatting on aim and I wanted to meet the girl. Asked her on a date to the movies, 3 days later she was my girlfriend, and 4 years later we're engaged. So is it possible to fall in love on myspace, no. But you can meet a person and get to know them without physically meeting them and then decide where to go from there. And after that it's definitely possible to fall in love if they're the right match. Take my warning though, talking to someone online can provide a false sense of comfort. You'll only ever know when you meet them in person. If the conversations flow just as easily and it's comfortable then you've made the right choice. Good luck and be careful.

Even if you are 28, it still isn't saf meeting somebody you have met on the internet by yourself. Maybe if you plan a double date, then i think you would be safe. It all depends on how long you 2 have talked.

seriously its okay. Much more depth when you meet over the net as oppsed to say a bar. You really get to know person on a deeper level.

bring a friend with you when you meet him go to a public place like a coffee shop you dont want anything horrible to happen to you and you kids wont have you anymore think about that too but other then that if you love him do what i told you cause its safe =] good luck
