Disneyland is the traditional Disney themed attractions. California Adventures is more like a Six Flags amusement park with the Tower of Terror.

I prefer Disneyland although if I wanted to go on some real vomit rides, I'd go to CA.

I haven't been to Disneyland--but I've been to Disneyworld and California Adventure. If you want the whole "Disney" experience, I'd got to Disneyland. I really enjoyed California Adventure though. Which ever one you choose, you'll have a good time!

Disneyland is way better in my opinion. They have many more rides and is a better deal than DCA. Disneyland has better rides too. DCA isn't as crowded which is a good thing. I've never seen it really crowded in DCA. If you buy a park hopper ticket i suggest that once your done with your day at California Adventure that you "hop" to Disneyland to get a few rides in. Disneyland stays open longer.

I prefer Disneyland for they have a lot of fun rides for all ages. But they usually have a special where you can go to disneyland and california adventure for one price and it's a good deal.

Disneyland has more rides and is the classic park, so for many - it is the favorite. CA is a wonderful park, but it is more laid back. I compare it to EPCOT in Disney World. CA has more shows (be sure to see the Aladdin stage show)! and fun places to shop and dine then rides. However, Tower of Terror, Soarin' Over California and California Screamin' can all be found in this park so it definitely has its perks!

I'd say they are both rip-offs; however, that was not your question was it?
There is a lot more to do at Disneyland and there is something for everyone. California Adventure feels more like a boardwalk amusement park; there are two or three roller coasters and a free fall ride. They also have a lot of shows. In my opinion Disneyland is a better deal. Also, if you go before April 25th you can get a free hopper pass at Vons grocery store. That allows you to pay for one park and go to the other for free...so now you don't have to make a decision. If you only have one day to visit, you can hit both parks in one day or you can go on separate days, they don't even have to be consecutive. Have fun and say hi to Goofy for me.

In my opinion Disneyland wins by far. Simply walking down Main Street and looking through the windows of the different shops is exciting and brings back pleasant memories for me.

Definitely Disneyland but both will be fun if you let yourself be a kid again and just enjoy the moment.Let yourself go and act silly if you want, what are your chances of running into someone again who's going to remember you.

That's a really tough question....especially because I enjoy both parks, but you really can't visit oner w/out the other. I like D-land because of it's nostalgia and classic rides that anyone can go on, and then I like the thrill of C.A. If you visited just one park, you'd be done before closing....and it's not really a trip to D-land without going from open to close. But all in all, I'd say I like D-land the best. :o)
