True love is unconditional. It means never having to explain yourself b/c they already understand. It's like meeting a long lost member of your family that you automatically fall in sync with without any awkwardness or weirdness. True love means going above and beyond in every measure, every way, every time for the person you love...not to prove you love them, but because nothing on the whole green earth gives you more joy than to see that person smile. True love is never wanting the other person to be in any kind of pain, whether it's from a paper cut or a broken heart. True love means comfort.

To me it means being commited to the object of your affection, no matter what. You have made the decision to love this person, even if they're not always being considerate, affectionate, gentle, respecful or or can't seem to hold down a decent job. You see your role is to stand by him, even admire, encourage him and build him up not tear him down, even if you're in the right, you're tired or your feelings are hurt. Your love and devotion makes this person a better person then when he first met you. True love is selfless, its the greatest gift you can give to another person. It enhances the giver and the receiver.

The meaning of love is different for everyone. The meaning to me is:

Two people who give eachother the grace to make mistakes, know that the other is not perfect and don't expect them to be. Hold the other when they need it, wipe their tears, make them laugh, and give them hugs. Share their life, give them advice. Listen to their ideas, and give them encouragement. Give eachother space to be a different and a seperate being. Take the other places (and give them things) that they want, even if you don't, just because it will be worth the smile on their face.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

True love is like a kiss that can't be for seen.
It happens and you should just go along with it.
