OMFG....I went to this commercial haircutting place just to get my hair trimmed. It started long,nice, and layered but now its just plainly shoulder length! I usually go to a salon to get haircuts, but I was getting a trim so I'd thought it'd be cheaper (bad idea, I know).
Is there any styles or cuts I should do to my hair to make it look better?
Oh yeah, I POSITIVELY DO NOT WANT IT SHORTER!

omg something happend like that to me: i went to this one place that i had a gf too for some reason it was this cheap place and i wanted my hair a little shorter and she made it short like past my shoulders here is what i did i went to a salon my normal place and i got side bangs and i just straighten and i now i actully like it you can look up hair ideas or like look at a celeb mag and see what you like and just do something with the front it will make it look cute and it will grow out soon mine is now longer and it didnt take that long to grow out. hope i helped OH! also there is these new jessica simpson exstenson things they arent permenate they just clip in your hair and they look totally real uhm they come in about every hair color and there is a curl and a straight one and there are also different lengths but they are about 80$

Well, if it helps, just wear a cute hat until you're comfortable with the cut?
I had a bad salon experience on thursday, haha. It's not a good week for hair appointments. You could mess around with curling products and stuff like that, see what makes it look the cutest.

well just a suggestion is maybe getting it layered where you can flip the back of it out. That is a popular hair style and maybe it will look so cute that no one will care that the stylist got scissor happy. It is a very easy hair style and there are many things you can do with it. Good Luck!

well, u could try curling it or maybe even one of those fancy ponies. My friend does that all the time and they look really cute.
