That depends largely on whether or not the blonde is natural. If the blonde is natural then you shouldn't have much of a problem. The color might be a shade lighter than the box indicates, but that should be it. If your hair has been chemically processed blonde then dying over it at home is not a good idea. Getting hair blonde, especially a light shade as is in your avatar, requires some level of bleach. Boxed hair dyes typically don't take to hair that has been bleached blonde well. What a person typically ends up with when they try this is an odd mix of the blonde and the store bought shade that isn't attractive. Basically, if the blonde isn't natural you'll need to go to a salon and get a darker shade done there. If it is, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Yes, you can dye blonde hair brown. As a stylist, I would know, since color is my specialty. Make sure that when you do decide to do this, that you start with the lightest shade brown that you can find first, since your hair will soak up more of the color than someone with darker hair. If after that, you want to go a little darker, then wait about a week for the day in your hair to set properly, making sure that you are conditioning it, then you can try again.
The best type of dye that I can recomend for you, is the kind that is amonia free, since it is easier on your hair.

Don't risk it, Take it from a pro. The reason it is not recommended to do it from a box is because their is such a difference in the shades. If you are going beyond two levels. You need to have a re pigmentation formula applied so that the brown actually turns brown instead of orange, or green. After the re pigmentation is complete then you would apply the brown.

Jet black hair. I have actually dark brown hair and I think dark hair looks better. I don't really like blonde hair.

yes you can, you can dye your hair any color you`d like, but the best thing to do is go to a hair salon, they know what to do. that way, you won`t risk your hair turning orange.

Do a strand test on a small inconspicuous part of your hair. If it turns out ok, then take the risk. If not, go to salon.
