Have you ever studied the bible with one of them before you made your decision or are you basing it on hearsay?

Some points at which I disagree with Jehovah's Witnesses: deity of Christ, resurrection of Christ from the dead, eternal hell, the accuracy of their long history of false prophecies, the accuracy of The New World Translation of the Scriptures, the necessity of submission to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. That is just for starters. As an Evangelical Christian I would say there is a world of difference between biblical orthodoxy and JW beliefs.

My girlfriend is an ex-witness but her mom is still one and some of the people we know are still, and what I've come to the conclusion is that most witnesses are not even truly "practicing" witnesses. Much like all the other religions they mostly fake, mostly. But as far as the hardcore believers go, they are just as crazy if not more crazy than the rest of them. I've come to appreciate a lot of what they believe and why at it seems to me that they almost hit the nail on the head with everything......except their reason. Which of course is God but how can you follow something that has 3 times claimed they know when the end of the world will be and they end up wrong. The religion is obviously set up much like Scientology. But just like all other religions (chrsitianity) they take the real message of the bible and what it means to believe and love god and run with it.

I believe that people have a right to choose their belief systems. So it really doesn't matter whether I agree or disagree.

I'm an agnostic so I don't really have a position on the truth or falsity of reliigon in general ( though many spacific falsities are obvious). As far as JWs go, I agree to them to the extent that, if Jesus was devine, it was as the son of god, not as god himself. Other than that, they have little to nothing going for them and the adherence to Revalations, obviously written about a hoped for fall of roman controle in the holy land, is a bit out there.

I do not agree with their teachings, but your question is inappropriate. If you wanted to know "why?" people don't agree with Jehovah's Witnesses that would be a better question.

As Christians we should never attack others - even when we disagree with them. We are commanded to always extend love first. ; )

I am a Christian. I feel it very important to follow Christ's teachings. Thus I became one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Like most denominations, they are misguided and think you have to be one of them. They try to scare people into believing what they do. With the whole Christianity, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. it is mostly a bunch of b.s. to control people politically and economically for a few at the top to perpetuate their parasitic and perverted lifestyle.

--MOST of the Israelites during the time of Ezekiel also felt that Jehovah's ways were disagreeable:

(Ezekiel 18:25) “25 “‘And YOU people will certainly say: “The way of Jehovah is not adjusted right.” Hear, please, O house of Israel. Is not my own way adjusted right? Are not the ways of YOU people not adjusted right?”

--SO IF you feel you need to be among the majority who like their doctrines, and religious ways--and to be popular there is a warning that Jehovah again expressed to the Israelites:

(Jeremiah 8:5-6) “5 Why is it that this people, Jerusalem, is unfaithful with an enduring unfaithfulness? They have taken hold of trickiness; they have refused to turn back. 6 I have paid attention, and I kept listening. It was not right the way they kept speaking. There was not a man repenting over his badness, saying, ‘What have I done?’ Each one is going BACK TO WHAT IS POPULAR(my caps). . .”

--So it does not matter if you disagree with us or feel our worship is not adjusted right, the Bible clearly makes evident that it is Jehovah God who we should be concerned with as Christ Jesus made clear:

(John 17:1) Jesus spoke these things, and, raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your son, that your son may glorify you,”
“3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. . .”

--Fooling around with God's laws & doctrines to our own wishes or preferences is not a good idea--He finds that very offensive. please note his ultimate action at his war at Armaggedon:

(Psalm 50:16-22) “16 But to the wicked one God will have to say:"WHAT RIGHT(my caps) do you have to enumerate my regulations, And that you may bear my covenant in your mouth? 17 Why, you—you have hated discipline, And you keep throwing my words behind you. ......22 Understand this, please, YOU forgetters of God, That I may not tear [YOU] to pieces without there being any deliverer.”

--DISAGREE all you want, but Jehovah's ways are clear and we as Jehovah's witnesses work hard at trying to keep them!

--OURS IS NOT a religion of convience, ---IS YOURS?

I disagree. But they can say and believe what they want. When you have nothing in your heart, you have to put Something in, even if just to keep out the nasty evil we are all prone to.

If you agreed with the beliefs of Jehova's witnesses, then you would be one of them.
