My friend uses body butter from The Body Shop and it smelled awesome! I wanted to buy some, but I wasn't sure what the whole purpose of it was.

If I do buy body butter could it be used as a substitution for perfume/body spray?

If you have dry skin this is probably a good choice...The thing about fragrance is that if you have dry skin your skin will actually absorb the oils of the perfume the you put on and so therefore fragrance won't last as long...if you use the butter it will make fragrance last longer or you can use it as a fragrance by itself

Body butter is like a thicker version of lotion and can be used as a sub for perfume or body spray. It is usually in a tub instead of a bottle. I love the body butter selection that bath and body works has it is great.. Good luck!

If you have extra dry skin go for the body butter. I like the ones from the body shop. I think they run for about $18 for the larger tub. It moisturizes your skin very well and its not stick at all and the smell is great. My favorite is the mango, but the coconut also smells good. If you have a little dry skin you can just go for the body cream. I haven't tried any yet. I only tried the body lotion and butter.

Body Butter is like a heavy cream moisturizer. If you plan to buy a jar, try the Almond or Coconut scent. You will love it!
It's excellent for really dry skin and the scent lasts a long time.

Body butter is like skin cream jus 10 times better, because ur skin absorbs it better and it gives you a natural glow. depending on how awesome the smell you can use it instead of bodyspray. TRust me i would!

Body Butter works just like lotion. It feels like Vegetable Grease, but it works really good on dry and cracked skin.

i work at a store that sells normal lotion and body butter. the difference is that the butter is a lot thicker and provides more moisture to dry areas, especially feet. it also leaves the sent a bit longer because its thicker.

A very rich and creamy type of body lotion. It feels awesome and normally has more natural ingredients.

Its a creme thats really thick and it helps with really dry skin i have some mango one and i love it you should get some it makes your skin soft like a babys bottom :p
