I'm a 19 year old college student. Lately, several girls have been teasing me, in what at first glimpse would seem like flirting, but what my instinct tells me is something else. When I was growing up, there were several girls at various times who would tease me and they were vicious about it (to this day I don't know what I did to provoke it). In jr high and high school, girls stopped bothering me, but I noticed some of them would tease some of my friends, only to lead them on and not because they had any interest in them. Now I'm in college and I can't shake the feeling that these girls are just trying to lead me on, even though it doesn't seem like it on the outside. Can anyone give me advice as to how to tell if they are flirting or if my instinct really is correct?

From my past experience, my default assumption is that girls that tease me do it to bother me, not because they like me.

Hi !!!
If that is your intuition or feeling to this respect, follow your instincts. Usually when your feelings are incline to something for a long time is true!!!
Plus, you should totally ignore this girls that have nothing better to do!!!
Stay focus in your goals, that at the end who will be tease is them, when you graduate!!!!! Don't pay no mind, specially, if you feel they are doing this to bother you!!
Keep on with your life, and make it interesting!!!

Well, what are they teasing you about? I know that some girls tease a guy they like, but some girls tease to be mean. It's hard to measure how much a girls likes you and there methods to get a guy sometimes.
I wished I had a better answer for you...

After the high school years, people usually tease to get you to notice them and start conversation. However, if what they say is rude, nasty, or it makes you uncomfortable, then they are just plain mean. Follow your instincts. The next time a girl teases you, look at them while they speak and notice their facial expression-smiling is good. If she is wincing or her face has an annoyed look, she probably doesn't dig you. I'm the same way only with guys I assume some people are teasing but, maybe you just be honest and ask them if they are really into you or what?

some girls do stuff like that as pure sport, i know theres a lot of guys who do that too. are you interested in any of these girls? if not i wouldnt worry about it. the less attention paid to them the sooner theyll get bored and move on. if you are then you might want to confront them and try to find out whats up. girls are just as mysterious as guys. its hard to tell whats going on inside their heads, asking may help. i hope this helps.
