Alright it's a long story.......
So, basically, the girl of my dreams was kinda forced out of my life about 4 years ago (moved), and we were pretty close but not quite "there". I thought I'd gotten over her, but apparently not. Anyway, she has come back into my life, but just until May before I take off for basic training. I really don't know what to do. I thought I had my feelings under control and all, but they came back stronger than they were before. It's hard for me to talk to people. I really need some advice, preferably from girls (because you'd know yourselves better) I am not sure what I should do....I thought maybe a poem, or something like that would work, but dont want to try it without consulting someone first.
P.S.-- Are poems or songs good ideas?

first does she feel the same way? if so you have plenty of time to start something up. you may be soul mates and that's why your feelings came back so strong or it may be because you never finished what you started. my suggestion would be to ask her out! take her somewhere where you can talk have a couple of drinks if will loosen you up. find out if shes the same person you cared about so much in the past??? unfortunately people change:( and 4 years is a long time. if she is then don't worry it will all come back to you. and yes poems and songs are sweet but not too soon.

okay.. Im not sure about the song and poem thing. some girls dont like that, honestly. But then again i dont know her.
Tell her how you feel, im sure she would appreciate that. But dont go overboard. If she seems a little uncomfortable with it. stop and ask how she feels about it. Then ask if its ok that you go on.
I always thought it was better to tell the person ur true feelings, as long as it doesnt hurt them. And its best to do it in person. but the phone is fine too. Just dont write it in a letter, some poeple think that you may not mean it if you write it down and then give it to them.
I'd like to know how this goes. I hope she likes you back. :)

im my opinion, poems are kinda laame and a bit embarassing
cuz after she reads it its all like. "aww..thanx...its..umm...nice.." especially if u havnt seen her in a while. (it could be awkward)
basically, ask her out to dinner.
tell her its nothing special and u just wanna catch up cuz u missed her.
u need 2 take it slowly
take her out more and be a gentleman
be nice and funny but most importantly - urself.
if things work out well, then u just might have the girl of ur dreams if u dont come on too fast!

If she's leaving in May..then just, let it go buddy. Stay friends with her, she'll appreciate it. However, in general long distance relationships don't always work!! (sorry to those that are in a long distance relationship..your love must be pretty strong) The more you are exposesd to someone...the more you like them. You can't miss what you never had anyway. If you get close to her now..it'll hurt you both when she leaves.

aw, u sound really sweet. and i think u should just talk 2 her, but like not on the phone, some place special and romantic. so u can tell her straight 2 her face. i think it;s really good when guys tell u straight up, cuz it shows they really, really like you, and its not just a 5-minute thing. i'm not 2 sure about the poem, if she;s like the artsy type, i guess. but otherwise my first suggestion. good luck!

a poem is good but if u do a poem give her a rose a single red rose because it is better just to give a girl one red rose n a poem but a song is that good if u do know how to sing

Why waste time trying to find the perfect poem or song? Sounds like you've agonized over this enough. Just tell her how you feel! Spill your guts!

sorry no poems but singing a song would be cute.....take her out on a date a really fancy place and have fun all night long then at the perfect moment(youll know) tell her how you feel
