Unlike most kids growing up, I'd always had an affinity to most veggies...spinach, broccoli, peas, corn, carrots..
you name it (oh yeah, you just did).
Brussel Sprouts are high on my list of favs....
(little cabbages I called them as a kid)
Anyway...some butter, salt and pepper and I'm good to go.

Absolutely!

I had a kid I nannied for 8 years and brussels sprouts were his very favourite. I asked the grocer the other day why they had gone from $.79 a pound to $1.99 and he told me that it was not due to freezing but to the fact that they have not been popular enough so growers just cut down on production.

With a bit of butter S & P and parmesan. Mmmmmm.
For special meals a friend of mine used to cook them up with apricots and sausage. To die for good. LOL not for this Muslim any more though. It is also delish steamed along with dried cranberries then lightly buttered and S & P.

They are really nice when you buy them on the stem and leave it in a bucket outside. So fresh.

only with cheese sauce, but since I'm on a diet and cheese sauce is fattening, I won't be eating brussel sprouts
