What some good exercise and diet tips for a 13 year old.

Please dont say ask your doctor!

Im a little bit over weight im about 5feet 4 in

and my bmi is like 25.7-26.7

Eat healthy less sweets (candy, gum) less salt (chips) drink more water then soda eats lots of fruits and vegetables. And encourage after school extracurricular activities such as basketball, cheerleading whatever the child is interested in whether its ballet or karate. The more their active the less time they have to eat and once their finish with their activity their tired so they will eat lite then to sleep it is.

It is so good that you want to start exercising young. This will help you to keep your weight under control as you get older. I would suggest being active - walking, running, riding your bike on a regular basis. As for eating, try to limit your fatty, sugary, and unhealthy foods. Also, try to eat plenty of veggies, frutis and lean meats. Do these things and you will be on the right path!

i have the same problame and im 10 i go onwalks in the afternoons and play with my dog and i havelost 5 pounds in 1 week i eat healthy food like apples and grapes but your still young you should enjoy your life im not being rude but howmuch do you weigh i can make you lose weight fast!!!

Stop eating sweets and potato chips. Drink gatorade instead of soda pop.
If you absolutely have to have something sweet, eat breakfast cereal.

use the food pyramid its a healthy way to do it and eat every meal and cut out chips candy and fast food. and dont take diet pills

swimming, jogging. fast walking. trampoline, bike riding. its good that you what to do the exercise.you can join a netball team or kickboxing which is great fun! Good luck
