I got the solo for my school choir. I'm singing "Shadowland" from The Lion King: The Broadway Musical. Should I belt it? Should I sing without a mike? I'm open to suggestions.

You need to check out what kind of theator your singing in. If its too large, you dont want to try to strain your voice sining over the croud. It all depends on the clarity of your voice as it gets louder.
