i don't think so, all written records of Jesus came 60 to 120 years after his death. The Bible also never even mentions his birth! At a time when writting and drawing was very popular, no one bothered to write/draw anything about Jesus when he had thousands of followers at times! He also made water into wine, fed the poor and resurected the dead! yet no one jotted down any of this. now cmon, did he really live?

Your ignorance is astounding. The majority of the books that make up the New Testament were written by men who knew Him BEFORE He died, and AFTER He was resurrected. They KNEW He arose from the dead. And EVERY one of them DIED (except John) because they simply would NOT deny that fact. And where did you get the idea that "drawing" was popular. This was 1ST century Judism. They didnt "draw", "paint" or "carve" ANY kind of likeness of ANYONE. Man, you need to take History 101. Every serious historian would think you're an idiot.....theBerean

The Romans fed the Christians to lions and destroyed everything Christian and had bulls gore them. They hid from the temple Pharisees and the Romans. Also 70 A.D. after Jesus' death the temple and Jerusalem was destroyed. How would you know anything about water into wine, feeding 5000 poor and resurrecting the dead without written records. There were even gnostic records and pagan records and Koran Muslim records and historians like Josephus wrote about Jesus. How all of these records survived when the Romans wanted the Christians destroyed is beyond belief, but they survived. Many thousands were martyred for the name of Jesus the Christ - "God with us."

As for the birth of Jesus, I like Luke Chapter 2 for the best "Birth of Jesus" story.

My Bible is the King James Version.

first off - the first New Testament writting was James - 40AD - thats 10 years after His death - the Gospels were written between 50-60AD - thats only 20-30 years after His death
The Gospels do talk about His birth - ever hear the story about being born in a manger- yeah thats all in the Bible
writting and drawing was very popular - umm what did you think they could do that on??? the notepad in the back pocket - no writting was not popular b/c you had to scratch it into a dried piece of leaf, poplar -
last -
if you know about the miracles of water into wine and feeding the poor someone must have written them down - not sure what you are talking about there

as for Jesus being real - the Bible is not the only place Jesus is written about - a number of 1st century historians reported about Jesus and how Christianity was spreading b/c of Him

Yes he exists. Yes I BELIEVE in HIM, and THE ALMIGHTY.

The Bible does mention his birth.

Historians use carbon dating but can only get an approximate date. Not to mention these very historians believe they have found his grave, this was on the TODAY show, sometime around the end of February and beginning of March.

There are many books that were left out of the Bible, because of other priests that believed that these books would be too radical for the common believer to follow. Who's to say that the writings and drawings YOU are looking for aren't locked up with these books held back by the priests?

I believe that Jesus lived, was a wise man, a great teacher, an elequent speaker and had one hell of a PR agent. I really think that most of his actions became embellished and sensationalized.

Though to be fair, Christianity was a cult with few members and were prosecuted by both Jewish tribes and soon afterwards were sought by Rome. There would have been little time and too great a risk to put many things to paper in the yearly years ( though I believe the gap only allowed for further stretching).

Yes, I do.

And what are you reading? Certainly not the Christian Holy Bible. It definately tells of His Birth. Go back and try at this again later. This shot is really lame.

Oh yeah, there were also some secular (non-religious) writings about him too. Go look up Josephus.. a 1st Century historian who was not a follower of Jesus'. In fact he was a jew who was "adopted" by the Roman Flavius family and he assumed Roman citizenship. He wrote, as a secular historian, of the War of the Jews and the fall of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. By the way, he knew what he wrote about because he was there.

There is enough controversy about whether Jesus was just a man, a great prophet, or God, the Son our Messiah to fill the world, but one thing stands true for everyone, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist....everyone knows He did in fact exist.

It was written down, read the bible. Just because it was not published until thayt time after his dead you will still find that some of the apostles wrote the bible. There is nothing to say it was not written down o parchments before being coateted, and if Jesus did not exist what are we doing in the year 2007 AD? AD refers to the deathof christ so its either the whole world or you that is delusional, I choose you.

If you don't think the Bible mentions Jesus' birth, it's probably because you don't know what "...and she brought forth a son..." means. It's talking about Mary, and means she gave birth to a son. The baby is then, a little bit later according to local custom, named Jesus. It's there, quite plainly.

The fact that you have obviously not read any of what was written about Him does not mean it doesn't exist. It's not Him on whom that reflects poorly, either.

The apostles who were witnesses of Jesus and His miracles were persecuted at the time following Jesus' resurrection and therefore had to wait a little bit before they could write their accounts of Jesus.
The Holy Bible is an account of Jesus. He really existed. The Bible records his birth, miracles, death and resurrection!
